Hey everyone Just thought I would show you what I did. I bought from attitude and got some lowryders. Being so expensive I decided since I had a male and female my first batch I thought I would make some seeds to save money. Took some short cuts though. My pollinated female was not completely done but coming home from work to open my garage and smell immense ganja was enough to cut my plant in the end. I'm working on a poison dwarf at the moment female half way through cycle.
So First off I started with a male plant. Pollen does not take to long to get at all. If you have a male let it grow till you can see the balls and when you can flick the plant with your finger and see powder time to cut. I dried my male plant in a dehydrator to make it quick then stored it in a plastic baggie. If you put a plant in a bag with out this your plant will mold then its useless.
Nice and labeled in a zip lock.
And the roots just FYI depending on the pot your using. I pollinated a tiny bit one bud of the plant but had a fan in the area at the time and the whole plant got pregnant.
So then there was the female. New clean and untouched.
I did not document the pollination process. I got a small paint brush and dipped it in the powder pollen and rubbed the White hairs. So heres pics after I pollinated.
This Last Is when i started to see the pods start to crack. Still not eady you have to wait till they get dark.
Then I CUT the seeded plant.
Tools I used to extract seeds. Dental pic really helped.
It Was a really sticky job.
So I had to quick dry the buds to save time and it was getting late. So I used a food dehydrator that I used to make jerky for me and the dog.
Blurry pic and not the whole process the liqueur was getting to me and didn't feel like a pic mood.
So the result.
The really Light green has a bad germination rate due to me being inpatient and needing to kill the plant due to smell. I let them dry in a 4 film cans with some rice to get out the moisture. All in all I got about 80 seeds from this 1 plant that was about 1 foot tall. Looking at prices of about 50$ for 10 seeds then dealing with shipping seems I saved a pretty penny.
REP if it helps I will try to answer any questions. My next big step is growing a g13 labs poison dwarf. Already got her in 1 month of growing. That is a whole different post though.
