lowryder lighting question...200 AutoFlowering plants...

hey guys, im a newbie to the forum, well ive looked around awhile, but not many posts, im hoping somebody here would be able to help me, ive grown in small amounts but not this large, and i have a big questions, i plan on having around a 150-200 lowryder, and other autoflowering strains, im working with about a 20 by 30 grow space, what wattage light would i need and how many, please any help woult be great.
thanks guys

yes, but im not sure, ill have them each in about 7 liter pots,as close together as possible so all the space may not be needed,im really not sure how many square feet 150-200 7 liter pots take up, but if anyone can help, or give me inputs, or suggestions i would love to hear it.
thanks

A 1000w hps will provide good lighting for a 4x4 area, if you put them on light movers you should be able to cover a 4x8 area with each light.
How many you will need depends, as you say, on how much space the plants take up. I take it you're looking at doing a SOG style grow? Lots of fairly small plants, creating a Sea Of Green, so you may get 2-3 per sq ft, assuming you lollipop them and keep them fairly close together.
Imo it's not a good idea to run an op this size with autoflowering plants, the seeds are going to cost you a fortune and you'll have no control over how big they get, but it's your grow.
Also that amount of light will require a serious amount of ventilation. With a room full of HID lights the rule is to have a fan capable of extracting the volume of the room 2-3 times a minute. In your case, depending on the height of the ceiling, you'll have between 3,600 and 4,500 cubic feet. It will take several large fans to effectively ventilate that space, and you'll definately want to be cooling your lights.
Get a good read of the FAQ, you should know from memory every bit of info, and be able to diagnose plant problems by sight before you start doing a grow on this scale, there is so much potential for things to get out of hand if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

thank you for your information, i need to do some serious research, do you know any good seed suppliers? that deliver to the usa? i have seen that lowryder seeds are very pricey so im second guessing it, but i am just curious on average how much dry wieght do you think could come out of about 150 lowryders?

Yield can depend on a hell of a lot of things, lighting, how well cared for the plants are, temps, humidity, whether they are grown hydro or soil, whether you use chemical or organic ferts, how you trim or train the plants, amount of veg time, strain, ventilation and so on.
It's almost impossible to predict a yield for somebody else just because there are so many factors in play. An experienced grower can usually get 1g/watt (or more) of lighting per cycle, whereas a beginner would call 0.5g/w an achievement, but again, it depends on so much it'd be very complicated to work out.

Wow! That's a helluva lot of electricity. I'd do it in batches just to keep under the radar (it's only 2 months/harvest) but then I'm probably more paranoid then you.

I hope your a caregiver, or maybe you said you live in the US and you ment somewhere thats not the U.S. This many plants is going to require a fuck load of lighting and electricity. Not only that but its going to be a full time job to keep everything healthy by yourself. If you have a spare warehouse and a team of people, as well as diplomatic immunity then it could be done lol thats my my opinion tho

that is some funny shit! Good luck little brotha..you gonna need it...im starting with 20 seeds and it is already taking up lots of time..and education, but these guys will steer you right.
