the curtain is nice. you can see it in my hempstar root pics. but it doesnt sink. it works the same as the stones. its just better for aquariums. get the stone. check and see if it is the same 1 as mine. if it is dont use it just because it doesnt sink. let us know.

Like 1982 said ray, they are kind of a pain since they don't sink. You need to add weight to them. It's just easier to use a stone type.

is it the light blue 1? that 1 doesnt sink. even if airstones clog just replace every grow. they cost like 2 bucks at walmart. walmart sells lots of hydro products. lol and the suction cups never work. i mean never!! lol

you dont need to top lowryder if you give them alot of light. mine branched like crazy on their own. they grow fast also so any stress might really stunt their growth. if you want a single cola just give them less light till they flower then give them alot. but no trimming seems necessary. they can be put really close and form a nice canopy.
you could weigh the curtain down with anything but you can buy about 5 stones for the price of 1 curtain and they sink. plus the curtain is just made to make evenly spaced bubbles. it doesnt matter either way cause its in the res. you dont see it. but dont top your lowryder. or i wouldnt. keep checking in. seeya

nice point 1982, yes it is the light blue one, but it come with the suction cup though....i thought it might work...but seems like does not. i will go with the air stone ...thanks bro ...tonight i will put everything...another question..i bought 18galons/rubermaid reservoir and i was wondering how much plants can i put there ...im thiking a small plants with single lollipop..SOG style ...
PS.. have you guys thinking about to glue the suction cup on the bottom and then put the bubble curtain ....this might hold the curtain down...( i just think the curtain makes lots more bubbles that the air sstone )

the curtain makes anout the same. i have both. its just more evenly spaced bubbles. get the stone. lol. the gallons dont so much matter as the square footage of the top. i put 10 plants in a 1.5x3 foot container. i only put 5 gallons at a time in it. but my plants are small. get some pics up so we can see then we'll know more from there. i am switching to 2 2x2 containers per shelf. 6 in each 2x2.

There are so many different kinds of airstones out there for sale. I like to check them to see what ones have the finest bubbles. I get mine from a place online, I'll post it. I like these, they have a really good bubble pattern. Lots of fine bubbles and seen to last a long time. The little ones I get at walmart seam to break easy after getting wet. The little 1.5x.5 are $1.50, the bigger 3x1 is like 4.50. And these can be cleaned if you want. wannabee- you can get the jewellers loupe at most custom jewellery shops. i used to work at 1. they range in price from 10 dollars to 500. but they are all the same. lol. they come in different magnifications. they are very high quality. even the cheap 1s. thats why i chose it. mine was 20 bucks. i got the 10 times mag and might get the 20. 10 is just slightly too weak to look at the trichs easily. but it is enough. but go with 20 or 30 times. well worth it. they have triple 1s to.
might go look at some seeds tomorrow. we get a tax rebate here every 3 months and i just got mine. its cause we pay 14 % sales tax. so i get 150 back every quarter. and i always forget its coming. lol. going with some sorta northern lights prob for sure. gotta see what they have. seeya. good luck with the new 1s

i got my new 400 hps light today, but have to hold off on starting the new seeds until i get my new drip system and figure out how much longer the bagseed plants are going to need. i'm thinking maybe two more weeks, will see, the trichs are really getting amber. I'm going to see about getting that loupe to really check them out.
maybe we could grow some northern lights together lol?

i might have the seeds tomorrow. i'm def getting fem seeds. if they cost 100 more i'll get it back. dealing with the males is a pain. lol. i had never seen a male before. auto strains werent really know 10 years ago. hope to have tomorrow. might have to do a double northern lights grow. lol they should have them. i'll know then. but i always go with hats available through the store cause its easier than ordering.
