Lowryder #2 lighting

Hi, im am new here and i just ordered some feminized lowryder 2 from goldenseed and a 400 watt hps light. I am planning on growing two plants and then wait one month and grow two more plants since lowryder takes 2 months to finish. I was wondering if this would work. My question is how many lowryders are good for one 400w hps lamp?
Thanks in advance for replies

I think 400w would be a plenty of light for 4 auto plants, thats the good thing about autos you can add more later and stagger your harvest as there set on 20/4 for the entire grow.

I would run 6-8 off of a 400w hps. from experiance with this strain I feel this would be the optimal numbers. The plants grow very symetrically for the first 5 weeks, so its no problem to get the plants packed in pretty well and still have space for growth. Honestly these plants can get big, 34.5" is the biggest here so far. Waiting to see yeild. If you stagger these 6-8 will be no problem for a 400w hps, but i would recomend a few 6500k cfls for the young plants, the autos love that spectrum for the first 4 weeks.

Lowryder 2 happens to be one of my fav strains......They absolute love and respond to T5 or cfl for the first 2-3 weeks....I just harvested one that I finished under 400w hps.....you've got to make sure it's a strong seedling before puttin it under your hps.....mine was 22" tall at harvest....kept it close to light to prevent overstretch.....ventilate well.... I usually have 6-8 autos under my hps at any one time.......with 6-8 more in varied stages of seedlings ready to replace anything harvested.....

Thanks. How many watts are good for the cfl bulbs to grow this? And do i use the cfl lights with a 18/6 on/off cycle?

i used a few cfl's up until about 3-4 days then i put them under the 250w hps at about 20 inches away and they loved it, you can move it closer later but just to get them used to it. you could do 18/6 cycle but i think the maker joint doctor recommend 20/4, they will still produce though i dont know how different as ive always done 20/4.

I bough them from goldenseed and in the description, it says run a 18/6 light cycle. Can i put a cfl bulb in a regular lamp? And how many watts should it be?

if thats what it says then go with that maybe i should of looked first, a lot of autos are 20/4 so i just assumed. As for the cfl bulb there either screw in or bayonet (push n twist) you can get them in both. It really dont matter what wattage as you are going with hps eventually? you just want to get them started, buy the cheapest ones. if your finding it hard to find daylight bulbs 'cool white' will do.
