Lowryder 2 CFL Grow

I started growing Lowryder #2's recently.

Im using peat moss as my substrate (started this pretty ghetto), tap water and CFL's.

My leaves started getting patches on them, then yellowed at the tips and now its spreading down the leaves. New growth is healthy, only the old stuff is turning weird...any suggestions?

I had issues with heat reaching about 86*F but thats solved now with average temps at about 77*F with lights on and relative humidity of 40%.

I was overwatering the plants originally but stopped this...will they bounce back?

Anyone any comments please?

Ill throw up pictures tomorrow.

Well by old leaves I mean the ones that formed like 3 or 4 days before the newer ones and it seems to spread from the tip of the leaf towards the stem.

cfl's have to be realy realy close to the plants and the taller your plant gets the less light goes to the lower part of the plant causing it to wither away,,,, this can be solved by adding ligh:bigjoint:

This is the yellowing I was talking about, seems to have stopped now...think it was a combination of heat stress and overwatering...anyone wish to back up/shoot down that theory?

EDIT: Jesus you gotta bump quick to keep your thread on the first page in this forum!

Well the one larger plant I have, literally in a day, has begun flowering...6-7 pistils appeared literally in 1 day!

Looks like heat burn to me. Are your temps 77 all the time.

I am growing LR 2 and my girl friend forgot to turn the fan up durning the day and they burnt. It looks exactly the same as yours

Cheers for your reply man, Iv sorted out temperature problems for now...but my 200w Envirolite is just producing too much heat(spikes the temperature about 6-10*C)...even with an extractor and oscillating fan in the homemade grow tent.

I have three of those lights and then 440watts of smaller bulbs, and I was shocked to see how hot my tent got (5x3x4). I had to install a 425 CFM in there to vent the air out. I also have to adjust the speed of the fan at night and durning the day to keep a steady temp.

In a day where the temp goes from 80 to 63 outside (where I get my air). I turn the fan to full in the morning, my lights then shut off from 12 to 6. Then at about 9 at night I turn my fan down.

I would suggest investing in a Oregon scientific so that you can wirelessly monitor your temp.

I also installed a small fan that moves air over my 200w lights constantly. It like a small pc fan

It is an auto flower,I've replicated 10,000 lumens f2 in a controlled environ and had them begin to produce buds at 3 days out of the shell. You have to go easy on any nutes, found they like them in omderation only.

It suffered alot of heat stress (first grow!) so its growth was slowed, but it was about 3 weeks from seed to flowering.
My seedlings are about a week old. One's growing well and is almost an inch tall, the other.. not so well. I'm guessing it could be due to heat stress now after reading about yours, as I've had temperatures around 84/85, sometimes peaking at 87 with the lights on, and humidity is extremely low at 20%.

My average temps are 24.9*C (76.8*F) and RH of 40% and since I got it to that level my plants have been growing MUCH better.
