Lowryder #2 56 Days. Pc Box - Hydro

Hey Fellow Stealthies,

This is my first almost successful grow. I had a great little lemon haze in a pc going but I had to move it and it was doomed from then on. I'm using a full tower case with a 50watt MH light (no idea of color spectrum) that i bought from sunlightsheds. It has a 1 gallon tupperware tank with 2, three inch net pots. The air pump is sub par, but it's fine for the one plant i'm doing. I accidentally kept the seedling in complete darkness for 4 days causing a major stretch so i tied it down with some yarn. This definetely had some effect on its size. Soon after it recovered from that, I burned it with moondust. It is the only nutrient i'm using (experimental). I had to see if it was possible to grow with the all in one shit that came with the box. I'll probably use it for veg and use bloom nutes for bloom next time. Now you are seeing it at 56 days old and completely recovered from the nute burn.

I have the ph at 6.
The TDS reads 425ppm and the plant is responding well.
The smell is delicious. I have a bamboo charcoal insert that contains it pretty well.

I think i am going to use technaflora's recipe for success kit when I start the next 2 plants. I saw someone comparing those nutes to the general hydroponics GH Go box starter kit and they liked technaflora better for auto's (claims they were less harsh???) anyway... they look the same to me but I can use my credit card points for amazon products and amazon had technaflora for free shipping so I bought it.

Thanks for looking. What seed/clone are you using? I hope my next one shows preflowers at 3 weeks! This one started flowering with little/no vegetative growth because the lights were off for like 4 days when it was a seedling. I'm just glad it's not a hermie.

I'm not sure of the strain, was a random bagseed I've had for years. Looks to be a sativa type tho with the long thin leaves.
I will have to restart my thread on it again since it got deleted.

Post a link here and I'll def sub. I lost this thread in the grow journals section but I wasn't getting any love over there anyway so I thought I'd post it with some other stealthies.

I wish my unsuccessful grows were all wiped out, lol. I have, under my belt, a burnt g13 blueberry gum and a killed in transit GH lemon skunk. I should've practiced with bag seed. This thread should be (fingers crossed) my first success.

Tomorrow (Saturday) it will be 63 days and I plan on posting pictures then. I am getting anxious because I don't have any smoke. The joint doctor says it takes 70 - 75 days from seed. I've seen threads that were done around65-70 days. I have decided that I am less than 2 weeks from the harvest window based on the newly yellowing tips of the fans and the 50/50 white/red hairs. I have like 5% cloudy and no amber trichs. I changed the res yesterday and only have the nutes at 200 ppm. When shit starts to get cloudy im going to flush her. Am I jumping the gun here? I'll try to get some close ups on Saturday.

Okay folks,

I've got some new pictures. The plant is coming along pretty well. The ph is 6.0 and the total dissolved solids is at 212ppm. The main cola (left side) is 50/50 red and white hairs and now has mostly cloudy trichs and a few amber ones. The less developed site (right side) is almost all clear but is finally starting to swell. I would like an estimate on time from someone who knows so that I don't flush too early or too late, but I promise I won't pick the bud until at least 50/50 amber/cloudy trichs if not 75/25. I'll be reading all the harvest how to threads again this week so I'm sure I can handle it but I love suggestions. Enough Talk, PICS!

Personal Side bar: Friday I worked from 6a to 7p with an hour for lunch and then went to a live music show and had a few drinks (planned on sleeping after). I met up with my friends and one of the bands members and we ended up smoking 4 spliffs after the show. We stayed up dancing and bullshitting until 5a. I haven't had a night like that in a long time. I haven't had smoke in 2 weeks so I knew my tolerance was down and it was fucking awesome. I couldn't even inhale that much because I dislike cigarettes and it was just amazing. We were all putting some great high music on spotify playlist and it was like something out of a movie, but It would have had to be a montage to keep the audience interested. There was a couple of neighbors that showed up around 3a because they were walking home and saw that a party was still in full bloom. My life has been pretty boring since I started full time work, I have to remember to get out much more often. I can't wait until I harvest. I'm going to throw a fucking trippy dance party and blow it all since i'm guessing I'll have between an 1/8 and a 1/4 of an oz. Occasionally a friday night can be a much needed catharsis. I'd just wanted to let someone in on my recent elevation out a little funk of depression.

very nice pc case and bubbler but why is your plant so small?

It popped and was in darkness for 4 days it stretched like 8 inches and I tied it down immediately but it's an autoflower so i wasn't able keep it in veg. Since I haven't had any success yet, Im just shooting for some good tasting nug.

I grew lowryder#2 a month or two ago, just now getting to smoke it. Its excellent

Stretch can be a bitch but u should be ok, maybe lst?. I vegged mine for no more than 1-2 weeks (can't remember exactly, many bongs were had during that time )
since 12/12 I have been lst /training it around the top of the dwc tub with screw in hooks has kept her very compact with about a dozen bud sites so far.

The branches are definitely done growing. The older cola is almost mature and the younger one is in the swelling phase. I counted wrong earlier, the plant is 58 days old. Its not gettin' any taller. It looks really good though, I think i'm 2-3 weeks to the harvest window. She is just a tiny little plant.

I plan on putting some screw hooks into the top of my tub for next time. I'm also going to put on some light traps and cheap carbon filter strips. I started my last plant on the floor of the box and didn't raise it up to the light. I'll definitely make use of my space a little better next time. I didn't even use bloom nutes this time either. Its moon dust. 19-8-13 and I will only use it for veg next time (and for the lettuce and broccoli i'm growing in my aerogarden lol)

Well it's been 84 days since seed and i cut it down after 7 days of flushing and 2 more days of darkness. The fan leaves were dying off and the calyxes have swollen. The thrichomes are almost all cloudy with a little amber in there. I accidentally cut off two little pieces that i'm drying rapidly overnight over a dehumidifier. I'll smoke it in a spliff this week. I decided not to have a wet weight. I'll post a dried weight next weekend and a smoke report after it cures. I think I'll cure 20 days. I put the scissor hash and some other bud I had in a spliff and it was great.

Dense ass strain haha

The nugs are pretty whispy after they've been dried. I'll post a weight tonight when I can. I'm curing for 20 days. Look for my smoke report May 19 or 20. When I get home tonight, I'm going to retool my box and put in the green-o-matic from greenhouse. I've got proper bloom nutes (better than moon dust). I resealed the tank for light leaks (I had a little green slime on my roots at the end). I'll probably get that thread started midway through the grow again. Nothing really gets exciting until flowering anyway...

Dude, you should honestly get a better light setup. Scrap the ghetto security light hung in there. Make a cooltube and run a 150 watter and put some more plants in there. Given that you are paying for HID lighting you might as well put more plants in there and use up the space.

I am not up to snuff on lighting. I used to do the cfl's in a homemade box, but I burnt the plant. I could do it better now, but I have this thing. Do you think I could use a 50watt HPS inside this security light housing/ballast?

I would love to have a 150watter but I am unfamiliar with cooltubes, in a pc box or otherwise. Is there a good HID systems for dummies thread? I have a place for a detached ballast if necessary, although stealth is a priority. Ops will be much easier once I get my own place...

I have a weed-rection thinking about nugs grown with semi-professional lighting.

I found a 50watt HPS bulb. http://www.lightbulbsurplus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=622_4_15&products_id=7 Its 2000k. The brand is value and the bulb is not made for growing. I'm betting its not exactly dead on 2000k. If it skews up in temperature I might have a cheap solution on my hands.

I know I sound really lazy about this, but I want my own space where I don't need to worry about smell or light. I don't want to invest too much in this little box because I hope to put my cash towards a great new 400watt, ebb and flow, tent.
