Lowering Temps

I have a HOMEBOX S.

If i shut the tent It goes over 93F. The tent has 3 premade holes for fans. I have my 4inch inline fan at the bottom pushin air in.. 6 inch exhaust fan sucking air out at the top.

It still goes over 93.

Let me ask u..

I dont have a glass piece on my light.. the lamp is open. If i were to buy the glass piece that slides in under the bulb... would that help with heat? Also

there are places on the side of my 250watt system where it looks like u can screw stuff in. Please explain to me how I can hook up some of that big silver duct and run it to my 6inch fan sucking air out.. that way all the heat trapped in by the glass piece would be sucked out right?

WOuld that lower temps?>

cooling the light itself will make a big difference. Go buy some aluminum duct tape and a bunch of aluminum dryer venting and vent that light to the outside. You can also use co2, that will make the plants grow much better in the heat as the co2 plants can handle higher temps.

Also make sure your light and tent are air tight for co2 and can keep it cool without any fans just the light on alone. You feed the co2 with the lights on and no fans running except your air cooled light that is air tight. Good luck

glass on the hood makes a huge difference

85-70 ur good,when it gets in the 90s thats when u get probs,the plants will become thirstier than a fat pig in an oven

Simple. put the glass on the hood. open up the holes on each side of the hood. Run a piece of ducting from 1 side of the hood to the exhaust fan. Now your tent will be exhasuting through the light hood (cooling the light) and out the room klilling 2 birds with 1 stone if you know what I mean.

I know this sounds dumb. But i need to know what to get to use the ducting thing.. let me explain

there are 2 places on my light to screw stuff in it looks like.. they are big circles. One on top and one on the left. What piece of equipment do I need that will fit and screw into there?

a bit hard to say without seein the hood but if u have a bit of glass that goes on the bottem then it sounds like a air cooled hood the holes in the side are where the ductin fits to the hood

Lower 90 the plant will be in distress and will shut down feeding and stop growing to protect itself middle to high 90 for more than a few hours will kill it and if it doesn't it will more than likely hermie in flower.
