Question: does a cfl emit more lumens w/ a reflector on, or does a cfl emit more lumens without a relflector on and turned sideways? Not sure what the answer is. Anyone w/ a lumen meter can test or has tested it?

Hi there,

I may be going a bit low in watts but this is what I got:

A pc grow box
- For vegetation: 2x22W (2200lm, 6400k)
- For flowering: 1x23W (1450lm, 6400k) + 1x18W (??lm, 2700k)

A 3 drawer nightstand (in inches: h16-w18-d12)
- For vegetation: 2x23W (2900lm, 6400k)
- For flowering: 1x23W (1450lm, 6400k) + 1x18W (??lm, 2700k)

My first grow box and pc box and my first grow indoor. I'm having some troubles because the plants are getting too big and some of the leaves get burned but I'll try to fix that in the next crop.

I've got a couple of things in mind: a scrop, training them to grow in horizontal or/and buying some auto-flowering strain.

Good grows everybody ;)

hi, i just started an cfl grow. (my first grow) one of my buddy's gave me a clone of one of his outdoor sativas. i transplanted her in a 12" pot of some great compost we have here on the farm. shes under a 12" round light fixture atm with 13w cfl. also built a 12" tube of white aluminum flashing (stuff you trim your house with) lined with mylar around the pot and the light fixture moves up and down on a retractable clothes hanger. its a single pot tube pod for a 1 bulb system. after the 13w for the cloning veg will be one 42w 6500k, then 42w 2700k for flower. after this pod gets to flowering, im going to build two other pods for cloning and vegging to have a sustainable cycle.
