Low-Budget Lighting

I'm using 100w cfl. I've been looking for those 85w cfl's. The 100w needs a balist and it looks like those 85w are a self balist light very cool imo.

That's plenty of light for one plant, but you may want to partition off your grow space so your light doesn't have to spread itself over 16 sq. feet. You can grow a nice healthy plant with only half that much space. Also, you should consider getting separate bulbs for veg and flowering. You'll need the correct color temperatures:

For veg:

For bloom:

You could even use both bulbs during flowering. One last thing, keep the light(s) as close to the plant as you can without burning. That will prevent your plant from stretching to get closer to the light if it's too far, resulting in a skinny lanky plant that will not even be able to support bud weight.

I still like vegging with the mh but the cfl didn't do to bad. she is about 9 weeks old. I'm trying cloneing and dwc bubbler. so far my clones are sucking. So i'm headed back to soil while I figure out the dwc. thanks for rotating the pic. not sure whats up with my editor.

Looks like you've got a plant graveyard right in front of her.
