Loupe What Power?

I'm wanting a loupe to watch what's happening with my girls. Any recommend some?

Amazon is your best value in most cases. Some have LED lights built in. Some have multi magnification 30X/60X. I like the 60X but, my eyes aren't that sharp anymore lol.

I use this one: BelOMO Triplet Loupe Magnifier. It has very high quality glass made by military rifle scope makers. Do not let the 10x magnification scare you off, you can easily see the trichomes. There is a very big difference between all the cheap Chinese plastic lensed crap that are out there claiming 60x etc and this one. This is my goto piece. $30 and Prime shipping.

They all seem very similar to me. I went with whatever amazon recommended / cheap.

Anyone try one of those clip-on cell phone loupes? Seems a lot better then the option I'm using or even a regular loupe, no?

Whats an average trich head size 150microns - x10 = 1.5mm in the loupe at magnification.

x30 = just under half a centimeter for each trich and a centimeter at x60 magnification.

Id say a x10 is quite a wide field and a x60 will be closer to individual trichs.

Suprisingly i can spot amber patches with my eyes no magnification so with some good eyes you should already be able to see whats going on until your loupe arrives.

Ebay. 60x. Way cheap. Work great. Nuff said.

Don't fall for those Chinese shits with the tiny lenses unless you have spider eyes.
