lots of clay in soil

okay i just went to the spot ill be putting some plants when i was digging the holes i relized there was alot of gray colerd clay and its wet when you squeeze it it stays 2geter how can i fix the soil to make it good for my girls

Outdig the holes...to the place you think the roots will max out at, and you want to replace it with a sand substance. Just make sure the sand is not fine. You are going to have an interesting thing happen. The clay is slow draining...so your material (sand) that you fill the hole with will let the water pass, but when it hits the clay it will stop. This will cause a little ponding so you will have to be careful with not have having to much where the plant is.

could i dig out a hole and fill with pro mix or soil its really wet rite now cuz its been rainy the last week i would like to do it in the ground if possible

well i guess ill be going with 5 gallon buckets sounds like alot of work just for some shit soil so will the pro mix bx be good for that or should i mix stuff with it

Makes sure it drains. Dump water in the hole and see if it leaves fairly rapidly. I.m indoor but general outdoor plant stuff.
