It depends on the person. I like hydrocodone better the oxycodone. the Oxy's seem stronger, but the buzz to me at least, is dirty. I feel shitty the next day from the Oxys where I don't from hydrocodone.
I agree. The Oxy gives a very good initial rush, it tends to put one in a clean, serene place and it promises that it will bring you to that place forever and ever.
Then, after a week the euphoria is gone or almost gone. Now you get the swoopy, soaring feelings but they don't last very long and you are left with a nod, and a poor on at that. As use progresses one has a choice to use more or simply enjoy what that standard dose brings you. For newbies, this is what i recommend, never up your dosage, you can take the entire amount that you used to use over the course of the day - all at once but you have found your limit and if that amount doesn't work it's natures way of telling you to quit. Your withdrawls from one 8 mg of dialaudid after having taken them evey day for a few wekssill be depessing - just uncomfortable. If you continualy up your doseage you are wasting your precious chemicals and you are bumping up your tollerance There are a few firm rules you must adhere to if you are going to dabble in the devil's medicine. No rule save abstenence will absolutely indemnify you from damage but you can keep it to a minimum if you are willing to stop in the face of your phsycologicl "need" and not so willing to bump up the doseage to feel the exactwa=ay you did last tuesday. I tend to keep my pills my wife as gate keeper. I keep the blow from her when we have it. The problem is thatif we both want it at the same time we won't inhibit each other.
Anyway, don't bump up your doseage after you initialy discovered the one you once liked, try not to take them every day for any period of time and when you do, and you find that the edge isn't there anymore - quit for a few weeks.
But what I was saying is that oxy eventualy pales and no longer offeres alll of thosewonderful feelings. Hydro seems always to accomplish the same effects - simple one, warmth, sociability, enthusiasm and as you keep taking them those effects slowly dissapiate. A few weeks off of them again, and you are back to normal. In my experience, not so with oxy. I havn't had Oxy in 3 months or so, when I recently had some - a 20 er, all I got was an initial exhileration and then.... a nod.
Interesting thing about strength. It is obvious that hydromorphone is far stronger than hydrocodone. You don't have to eat nearly as much to feel an effect but there are thresholds. I can feel 10 mg of hydrocdone where I cannot feel 5 milligrams of hydromorphone even though it is several times stonger. And then of course when they are mixed, I can't figure anything abut any of their effects after that.
