The big wind and rain we got over night and this morning took a toll on my beauties. Even though they were under cover, the wind blew them over in their 7 gallon pots, knocking them into the rain and broke a few branches. I got home from work at 8pm the power was out til 9 and I set a fan on them hoping to dry them a bit if I can overnight. The first time they have been wet actually. Currently 44F out right now. Hoping that bud rot won’t set in over the next day or so.

Chopped one plant this morning. Man....that’s a lot of work trimming. Best advice I read on here... have a bottle of alcohol on hand to dip my cutting tool in. That one plant filled my hanging area. Tomorrow moving it to my sons building to dry properly. Hoping for no bud rot to set in. My space is an unheated shed with a fan blowing. It will have to do til tomorrow.

Grapenut,
Drying is supercritical. Too slow, you get rot. Too fast...harsh smoke.

The paper bag thing is to slow drying and use two bags if they're drying too fast. 50ish RH works pretty good for me.

and...heard a little olive or coco oil on fingers and shears helps keep them clean...unless you're looking for finger hash. lol

Great tip John thanks. Will be doing the other tomorrow hopefully...it is a delicate balance of getting them dry enough so rot doesn’t spread? What I hung up looked fine as far as I could tell. I have way more bud then I would ever use myself. I have at least 20 “branches” hanging.
