yes they are cheap and easy and easy to transplant. besides that, it is the pots he chose so let him fucking be.
Not really easy for the roots to break through though, they get soggy when you overwater and start to smell, they break apart easily when handled improperly; do you want me to add to that list?

And I never said that he had to use a different type of pot but he should have used a different type of pot.

OP I hope you are learning from this post as it is to mock putangluv and to teach you some stuff.

I bet that other guy is going to try and take advantage of the whole 'rep whore' thing but will then read this comment and be like 'I'm gonna look like an idiot if I say anything.'

now if you could tell me in a bit more detail why it is so hard to transplant a jiffy pot to a new pot i would appreciate it. tanks

one last thing...

the only one that gets smelly pots is YOU! and thats kind of the whole point of using jiffy pots for the roots to grow trough the pot in to the new medium/soil.

i know bro i just hate when people had bad luck with things and think it will be the same for everyone else.
okay if you see a few roots coming out its okay you don't necessarily need to transplant. just let them grow out a bit more. then transplant in to bigger pots

to transplant just trow the plant including the pot and everything to the new pot, fill it with soil, and you're done. very very simple

So the roots are more free to grow take off break apart the peat pot and the smelly bit only comes if you leave them in a small soggy pot for long. If you leave them in a peat pot as they are they will find it hard to break through the pot and will therefore slow down growth.

o i see so thats why you had bad luck with jiffy pots....hmmm and now you're telling a new grower to do it your way so he can run in to the same problems you had.

highgrowlife, the way i told you to do it, is the way i did it and never had a problem the plant grew beautifully did not have any problems with roots or growth
