OK so here's the deal:

i've been growing Organic Supersoil + tea for the last 5 years, and im getting to the point where i want to expand my indoor set-up.... i know what i want to do and how i want to do it, but i dont know what to order, how to build it (im good @ DIY..construction and electricity) or any of the little things when it comes to hydro.

What i want:
to clone to Rockrool, and then grow in an NFT system that will allow for organic nutrients. veg for 15-20 days then flowered for 8-9 weeks. i want to grow as many plants as possible under 2x 600W lights, im thinking 15/ light to make for 30 total.

Im cheap, and Broke. i know its crazy expensive to buy a hydro system, but easy to build one. does anyone have any DIY resources?

NFT is damn easy to do DIY. You just get some PVC pipe and drill holes in it that will hold 2" net pots.

On one end of the pipe you put a 90 degree elbow facing up - then you pump water in it. On the other end, you put a rubber ring cap with a hole drilled in it - this lets you keep your water level high until your plants roots have grown down.

The trick to get the pipe level, NOT SLOPED. If you slope the pipe, you'll have no control over the water level, which means you won't be able to start plants until the roots are already 3-4 inches out of the net pot.

If your really broke, get a roll of corrugated tubing and cut it - corrugated is cool because you can bend both ends so you don't need fittings. It isn't rigid, so you have to tape it to a 2x4.
