Looking for quiet 6" fan/filter combo

I'm in the market for a 6" fan/filter combo rated at 420cfm+, anyone got one they're trying to dish out hit me up. Or anyone know of a deal online let me know. I must stress that it needs to be quiet. I don't mean quiet as mute, but no higher than 50 decibels

I have a 440cfm can fan and 6x24 phresh filter, even at 25% you can hear it outside the room with the door closed while its inside the tent. They are loud from the movement of air not necessarily the fan itself. Its a task keeping a fan quiet. If you dont have a speed controller, you will plug that thing in and think a boeing 747 was taking off

Hiya M8,

They make mufflers/isilencers for inline fans( e-bay/amazon) that help alot. You can quiet it down abit more by encasing the fan in an enclosure made from various materials from the blue ridgid styrofoam used in construction to using an old ice chest or even multilple layers of cardboard. Forgot to add, My friend uses 12" duct and reduces it down to 8" at the fan, and that cuts almost all of the suction noise that the ductwork makes. I am going to try that on the next grow, but I will use 8" and reduce down to 4 for my little space.

Hope this helps

sound will not be an issue this route. you will forget about it...cause it is silent,,,specially when hung with bungee cordes. If they only made silent stand fans there would be no noise...http://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/AirFlow-Boosting/Inline-Air-Booster-Fans/S-P-TD-SILENT-Series-Inline-Fans
