im trying to find a cheap granular fertilizer i can mix in with my promix hp and earth worm castings.. i was looking at organicare pure by botanicare. which is 2 part, i would mix the veg in with the mix and then in flower i would top dress with the flower nutes. what do you guys think would this be a complete mix? or if you have a better option let me know. im a chemical nute guy so im just trying to do something easy and simple to see if i like this organic thing. let me know what you think is the best way to grow with promix thanks.

Hey Hybridcheef, your choice seem logical and very simple. Something I wish I thought of. I recently just switched to promix hp as well. literally, from soil to soilless during veg. Lost about 3 weeks awaiting for the rebound. Stupidest decision i've made. I basically bought all the amendments separately and mixed it in thoroughly. I'm going to see what others think of your idea and I'll more than likely follow for the next transplant! (:

just promix and ewc may get a little 'thick'. im sure youve thought of drainage, perlite yup, and promix works well with peat, lime, sand(and/or perlite).

with all that said, that mix would be served well by CHICKEN POOP up the wazoo :)

i still dunno if that will be enough N, to get you thru the stretch, may be sumthin to think about. big pots? significant compost %? act's? all things to consider.

just built my first soil, and my week 6 plant, looks great - so now im an expert LOLOLOLOLOL! an expert i am not, but i have gleaned alot from people much wiser than i.

good luck

well its promix hp, so it already has perlite and some lime. ill probably add a little more lime and ewc, if it looks necessary ill add some more perlite or maybe some grodan croutons that i already have on hand.

as far as you saying not enough N i dont know why you would think that, organicare pure 2 part is a complete nutrient.

using some tea's is a given.
