looking for lighting

Hello all,
I tried viewing the classifieds however it won't let me for some reason. I am trying to track down a 400w light setup that isn't going to set me back $150 as this is my first grow. So I'm looking for a setup that perhaps someone doesn't need as they have upgraded? Any help would be grate. Don't have a lot of cash but still looking to weigh my options.

its a metal halide, i was gonna grab it for myself, but im gonna hold off. i need better lighting for my veggies, so this would be ok. for the price tho, grab it, use it for a roll or two, then upgrade.

i like this also, for a budget grow. im jus not 100% sure about the digi ballast. i have a ipower magnetic and its fine. but im really sketchy on digital still.

like i said, im skeptical about the digis still, but if u can afford it, id deff go with a quantum, or possibly a lumatek. I guess my point is, with magnetic ballast, name brand quality is less important. they are old technology that has proven itself over what? 50-60 yrs or better? hell even the chinese can punch out reliable ones.

agree, if you want a 400W MH/HPS kit on that budget, go for a magnetic ballast, try to get that cool hood or atlest a cool tube in the deal ..

acctualy that 600W premium kit Unohu posted in the 2th link seem solid for a fist grow, just remember you will need to spend some $ on ventilation and filter as well

sumthing like this:

I used the ipower 600w digital ballast with success. I haven't had any problems with it yet... Only used for one grow cycle so far. Definitely a decent price for what you get, it came with rope ratchets and a shitty timer (still works) also.
