I know noobies come by here every day looking for the holy grail of marijuana strains, but that isn't what I'm looking for. I understand that quality is a trade off, but I smoke quite a bit, and I am a strong believer that if grown right it will still be fantastic weed anyway.

I'm planning on growing TWO plants in a 4'x4' space under a 600watt HPS using SCROG. So basically, I'm looking for a very high yielder that responds well to growing large, indoors, and lends itself to scrog.

So far I've been looking at:

Mr. Nice - Critical Mass: Heath has had a great harvest growing these things in to trees (74oz off of two plants) and I'd be ecstatic to get 1/3 of his success in my setup. Only problem? I can't find them feminized, this may be a deal breaker because I'd have to go through the added hassle of rolling the dice and then maintaining a mother. Up-side is that the seeds are very cheap.

Sensi Seeds - Big Bud: A classic, high yielding plant. Very expensive (compared to Critical mass) at 130 bucks for a pack of 10, and still can't find feminized. I don't see many people growing it these days, but it would be the obvious answer if it wasn't 3x the price of Critical Mass, which claims to be an improved Big Bud. Still can't throw such a tried and proven plant off the table though.

Green House Seeds - Hawaiian Snow Feminized: At 600g/sqm in sog, this plant seems to be on the higher yielding end of cannabis strains. And with a claimed 24%THC level, probably the strongest mentioned so far. The name really appeals to me as well... "Hawaiian Snow".... Just sound like good weed. I know a lot of users complain about GH seeds, but they've been populating the Cannabis Cup winner list for the past decade, including Hawaiian Snow (2003 1st place). This strain is also feminized, which appeals to me as I would like to get growing right away and take clones as I go.

And finnally...

G13 Labs - Pineapple Express Feminized: Not notably a large yielder, but I saw a member here get great results (I believe a 13oz harvest) off of one plant in half the growing space I intend to use, using the SCROG method I intend to use, and the same hydroponic system. Using pot head math... 2x the space 2x the light 2x the plants = 2x the weed. A 26oz harvest would bring me to tears (I wouldn't be sad with a 13 oz off of two plants either). High name appeal, reputable quality.

That said, I'd like your advice RUI. Any personal experiences with these strains? Suggestions for a high yielder in my setup? Which one do you think I should go with?

i just got some violater kush and they gave me these free

Reserva Privada Sour Kush AKA Headband
-has a great yield, and the high is completely medical and not too over-powering. Finding a keeper mother is easy in a pack of 6 and this plant clones easily as well, rooting in 8-10 days. She grows fast in vegetive stage and spreads out wide to produce many tops and an even canopy. Producing heavy resin early and a great aroma, our Headband has bag and head appeal. She doesn’t grow as tall as Sour Diesel or as stretchy as the OG Kush and is not so picky with the nutrients. She has a fuely-soury taste and smell with a long lasting high. She is a good all day smoke that won’t knock you down like some of the heavy indicas and is a good strain for anxiety. This original cross is not the 707 or any other clone only "Headband," this cross was made by reversing the OG Kush to pollinate the Sour Diesel.

Emerald Triangle Seeds Grapefruit Krush
-This F1 cross of two classic california flavours has evolved to create this immaculate new flavour which is a great blend of two new-school genetics, though growing very moderately throughout the vegetative state, this strain does not accelerate dramatically when flipped. Tie-down methods suit this plant well, giving you a greater yield per square foot, with balanced cola production. Expect 1-1.5 lbs. (0.5 – 1.0 kgs.) outdoors, with more moderate yields indoors. Grapefruit Bubba produces tight, dense stacking calyxes creating short, rock hard, frosty colas, be sure not to trim your bottoms up too high as every last bit contains substance.
This dominant Indica produces a happy, light-hearted high with plenty of body stone to even it out. A zesty citrus dominates the palate, followed by peppery notes and a distinct sweetness when exhaled.
A long-lasting, very social herb that is suitable for both day and night-time use.

also chocolope you might want to look at too

i was never impressed at all with big bud. it's big and all, but the potency just isn't there. i don't know about the others. most of my heavy yielders have been random phenos of lesser yielding strains.

Go with kong from holy smoke. Sannie has some heavy yielders too. Not to be a dick but we all strive to grow like Heath. It rarely gets accomplished.

really all those you chose the yield is nothing special but I choose the critical mass because it is by Mr Nice and it has had some record breaking yields set on this very forum but I feel if they used a different strain they could of yielded more as ive grown critical mass and its not that great..the best yield is anything mixed with ak47 or straight up ak47 in my experience aside from freakish foxtailing plants and whatnot. My favorite being AK47xBubblegum or AK47xWhite Widow for the fruity flavor you can get a long side with the AK47 traits. There is many strains of this cross about, to name a few: White Siberian, White Russian, Wembley.

Indoors any plant is really going to yield roughly the same on your setup give or take only minor amounts so really for indoors what you look for is flavor and potency NOT YIELD.

For anyone especially a noobie my recommendation is to stick with the basics. your bread and butter of the hybrid cannabis world and that is the easiest plants to grow: AK47, White Widow, Northern Lights, Bubblegum, and hybrids of those and others are all the most appropriate for a beginner

how long are you planning on vegging them before you flower? Watch out hid's rape your electricity and could make you change you're mind about waiting hella long to veg out 2 plants when you could grow like 6 or 10 in that same space, veg them to a foot, and then flower them all, and start up the clones you pick right before flowering, and make a cycle starting new plants every time you put some into flowering, that way after a couple of months you will harvest every month.

I was planning on a long veg.
That seems like a good idea, but once I hit the harvest every month stage, wouldn't my flower room be overcrowded? Say start with 6, and 3 every month? I wonder what kind of harvest I would get off of that.
