I'm talking about alien and alien genetics not swerve and Cali conn. That's good to hear your cross came out good but alien kush is Hermie prone and down the line it shows in crosses.
I was aware of the strain being prone to hermies but what I have done is taken the F1 and backcrossed to F3 stage selecting the traits I desired then took a population of those F3 beans and stressed them to shit....hot temps...starved them for water...small containers and light inconsistancies.....( indoors ) I got ZERO hermies out of the F3 stressed population. On the original F1 cross I grew under optimum conditions indoors and have never seen a hermie YET?? I am growing it outdoors for the second year in a row and everything is looking perfect with the only thing I see different with this years girls from last years girls is pheno expression but I attribute that to my outdoor conditions being different this year from last year....last year was dry and hot ...no rain...this year has been cool and raining allot but the plants look beauitiful thus far. Breeding is a shit ton of work and you have to run a rather large population of plants in order to have somewhat of a quality breeding program....its easy to make a quick F1 hybreed but much harder to stabalize it because it takes time and money.
