I would think finding a dg in BC would be fairly easy but I don't live there so couldn't say for sure. Anyway I think you're in the right place, I'm sure someone here will be willing to help you.

I get requests on a weekly basis to be a DG. Biggest thing right now is finding an address for your ppl. There are tons of growers but nowhere to build a garden. Most people are looking for free meds and expect the DG to cover all cost and sell the overage to pay for overhead. People don't seem to realize that it costs real money to grow. Equipment, nutrients, electricity can add up fast for the 3 months it takes to harvest, especially for larger scripts.

Where would one go to advertise thier ability to be a designated grower?

I've got room for a small script but no one to grow for.
I started a web site and posted on Craigslist. Get lots of traffic and many enquires. So far I've gotten several solid jobs designing and building gardens for patients. Just took on a 5000sf build. Most enquire about fiinding a location for their script, it's getting harder and harder to find an address for the ACMPR ppl.

Keep your eyes peeled around here, their seems like their's always someone who needs help. You could always post a thread too but you might get potential lash back as some seem to think it's always for shady reasons.

Neat idea! Although designing large grows is way outside of my realm of knowledge.

I was looking at kijiji - it appears posting a picture with a single Helios light in an empty white room is good advertising :S

I don't want do deal with tire-kickers or people who are expecting me to sell surplus to pay thier script. I suppose I'll just keep my ears open and see what comes around.

Why do you think it's getter harder for the new program?

I would make that a last resort though. I dg'd a year for a fella that lives in Ontario(I'm in SK) and wouldn't recommend it unless you had no other options. When i dg'd locally it was way smoother for both of us.
agreed.
mail order is risky for sure. I would prefer to pick it up instead of relying on Canada Post but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

The price of real estate and or rent. It's a lot harder finding an affordable address for your garden. When it cost $2k per month in rent it's not feasible unless your selling your meds to cover your overhead. It could cost a patient $6k-$8k in overhead just to get a harvest. It's simply supply and demand. There are already thousands of grows in BC, the late comers are sol.
