Looking for defoliation advice

Running 2 bucket isolated dwc in a 3'x3'x6' tent under 600w mh in veg week 6. 1 is pineapple chunk (Barneys) and the other is white cookies (CKS). Planning to flip to flower this weekend. What's everyone's thoughts on defoliation at this stage? Both have undergone a couple light trimmings of fan leaves to facilitate light penetration and airflow but these girls are heavy indica dominate and seem too bushy for their own good. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking, but any advice you can give would be appreciated!

Absolutely do it. And also again. In 10 days. And once more finally. At week 3 flower.
Use the pics in this thread post to give you an idea of before and after. You can strip em to damn near twigs.

First post I realise! I tend to do 7 days and 21 days, after that just selective. Definitely strip all the lower tiny branches off too as its like trimming fresh air in 10 weeks time.

Yeah trim away, never ever more than a 1/3 of the plant at once and probably not recommended after the 3rd/4th week so it doesn’t stress the plant and slow down bud production.
