At 75 we allways seem to get pale green, purpling stems and mag defs when applying high intensity with white leds.
Ah. I'll have to keep that in mind as I grow with the white LED light I just bought today. Dude had some grow stuff for sale on the FB Buy$Sell so I scored a 2x4x5'h tent that looks brand new, this no-name 1500W LED, 4" Vivosun and a 16L/min air pump with a 4 outlet manifold for $175. Dude gave me almost an oz of pot and I only brought two 8ths with me. Some Maui Wowie, Skittlz and Gelato. 2 little hits of the Wowie and I'm just gooned. :)

All this says on it Model: 1500W LED. No power numbers I can calculate it actual draw from so will have to hook up my little meter to see how much it actually uses. Bright as hell tho! @ cooling fans on the back and it looks pretty clean and as the 'Warranty Void If Removed' tape is still virgin. Heavy like a brick too. 8x12" No idea where I'm going to set the tent up yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm only going to be using it to veg smaller plants before flowering in the main grow room under 600 - 1000W Hortilux SHPS.

I try for 6.2. The past few waterings have been straight Distilled water. When the burnt tips appeared I was worried it was nute burn so i stopped feeding til i figured it out.

Usually i use 5ml per gallon calimagic along with Blue Planet Nutrients and are in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil.

Until last week they got full strength nutes but I dialed back the micro... And there it is holy shit i dialed back the micro and them the burned tips appeared. I thought cutting back N was a good idea amd the Micro has alot of N but i guess it also has alot of other shit my plant needs.

Wow i am big dumb.

vivosun? Whats it like?
The Vivosun is an inline exhaust fan. I just bought a new 8" Vivosun a few months ago that I haven't even hooked up yet. my dying 6" one is still going so I haven't bothered. With only a 400w MH light in the grow room the exhaust fan never turns on as it has a heat/rh controller on it and it doesn't get warm or humid enough to start the fan.

This light has no name at all on it. Just a no-name Chinese light. My current exhaust fan is the same and has no labels of any kind on it. No CSA sticker either. :)

I've got 1000w se hortilux bulb, am very impressed with it, used cheap bulb for 6 months, total fluff, no nuts. Hortilux so much better but cost 120 can for bulb
I have a 940W Hortilux conversion bulb that runs off a magnetic MH ballast as big as a football that retails now for $300. I paid $170 for mine but with a light meter it's 50% brighter than the standard 1000 Hortilux Super HPS. I save that baby for special grows! :)

It's in that big box on the right. Don't buy those Plantmax bulbs unless you're really hard up for cash. Not a lot of good things to say about those Light EnerG bulbs either but they are better than the Plantmax.

Gee which box is mh, duh! Used 400w mh 30 years ago, added 600 hps, did so much better. I like 1000se hps in middle of 2 400 mh, was a nice setup for the time. Do you remember mercury vapor lamps?

Looks more like nute burn than any deficiency to me. Those dark green leaves indicate lots of nutes and too much Ca makes leaves dark green too. Neither condition is desireable, Keep an eye out for the tips along the leaf margins to go brown/yellow. That's the next stage of nute burn.

I was never unknowledgeable enough to use mercury vapour to grow pot. :) I'm actually using a 400 CMH bulb that runs off one of my HPS magnetic ballasts to veg right now. Philips doesn't make them anymore but GE still makes one I think.

This is the ballast I'm using to run that CMH. Got to be at least 40 years old and has a lot of mileage on it. Got another one of those and a 400MH just like it. lol The only difference between the MH and HPS mags is the HPS has an ignitor but they both use the same capacitor and coil. Taht's how the MH/HPS switchable ones work. The switch cuts out the ignitor so MH will work. If the HPS ballast won't fire an HPS bulb but will an MH bulb then it's the ignitor that's shot. If neither then it's likely the capacitor. My coil died on my 1000MH ballast tho and that's pretty rare.

Before the lights came on I took some pics and included pics of the lights i use. I keep one of the smaller leds lower over the shorter plant to get better penetration. Someone above suggesting putting the plant on something, but i think this has the same effect basically.

Buds are developing nice on both ladies.

The burn is progressing slowly. I watered again today with phd tap water (my tap is about 80ppm) and made sure water plenty to get a good amount of runoff hopefully getting some of the salts out. Lucky thing with fabric pots is they dry out pretty quick. I am a real big fan of them, you can water fairly heavily and have no issue as long as tour airflow is good.

I am also seeing some yellowing on lower leaves now. Buds still seem to be growing though. These colas are getting husky.
