My personal fav is the Gibson Les Paul... But PRS guitars are pretty damn close....Pricy but excellent craftsmanship and they play like a dream....

I forgot when I got mine, I'm thinking either 12 or 13. And like I said it was an american strat, it was my uncles that he didn't play much so he let me have it. No way in hell my parents would have bought me one brand new, or even used for that matter. Don't know too much about pedals though, it was always just the guitars and the amp.

You're a guitar tech though so I'm sure you could school me real quick on that.

An american strat for your first guitar... Damn...lol... You still have it? No pedals? you don't know what your missing man....Get yourself an effects processor.. You can pick a descent one up for 4 or 500 bucks... Boss is one of my personal favs...Good product /good prices...

I mean, to each their own. But the one he linked me to had some really nice finishes.. That binding just killed it for me though.

I did not real all the topics.

I just scored TWO Japan build 1990's Ibanez RG 470 for $100 each (Both needed $50 of parts and work)

If you go to a pawn shop in a big town look for that. Usually because they are old they are dinged up and cant fetch much at pawn.

They are amazing guitars when you switch out the pickups and even as is stock they KILL.
I dont play metal but the neck on the RG is great and chunkey and does every tone well.

But hay you have $800 you could get 6 of my guitars.
