Looking at Nirvana's AK-48, White Rhino

Mostly because they are affordable. What I want to know is are these knock offs or will they hold there own with the more expensive seeds of the same name from other breeders. Also is the 48 even close to ak 47 or is it completely different and will it do alright outdoors in the northern hemisphere about 44 degrees north latitude? I might be using the 48 as my outdoor strain next year because I need something that will finish about mid October or late September.

any information will be appreciated.
but preferably from someone who has grown or smoked both from each price range.

Also looking at Purple Mazar from Flash seeds for an autoflower strain. So again any info would be much appreciated.

Grew out AK48 twice. There are threads that I made on this site about it. GREAT plant...stinks a lot in flower.

sweet could you link me to it I've been looking for strain reveiws. how does it compare to ak 47 for smoke? did you do yours outdoors?

That was off the second harvest of AK48. I was running cfls then. I've moved onto a 250 watt mh/hps system now.
I am a personal grower though so my preference is to keep trying new strains. AK48 was my first...and overall probably still the best.
I whole heartedly recommend the strain if you can handle the odor. (i did not use any odor control at all...grew in basement closet...turns out the AC feeds off
the basement for cool air...whole house reeked of pot pretty much the entire AK48 grow)

looks like damn good smoke. what other strains have you grown so I can get an idea of what your comparing it with. I havent grown out any named strains just seeds from a really good medical bag. Odor really isn't an issue if it is ok growing outside

Just smoked some of Nirvana's strain Ice recently and it was some good good shit. If the rest of there stuff is of that quality I have no problem with buying there genetics

I've grown both White Rhino nad AK-48 and the AK-48 is awesome in comparison. Rhino is boring. AK-48 has some visual and is strong and euphoric but will lead to sleep. It's nothing like AK-47 which is Sativa dominant and up, more clear, strong as well and a strong buzz.

What kind of high are you looking for?

I would recommend some Seedsman strains for good quality for the money. The AK-48 finishes early and is a great plant if you want a solid Indica stone. I still keep that in my seed stash and it is my favorite Indica that I have grown to date.

WHat state are you gorwing in. Massachusetts can finish the White Widow which is Sativa Dominant and a nice crystaly smoke. I would recommend Seedsman fem white Widow for you purchased smoke. Nice all around high with great bag appeal and The seedsman version is very reasonable.

Ill give you a hint: horribly unpredictable weather, and large amounts of lake based precipitation. Thing is Im planing my first run with real strains and my last harvest was 3oz of Blue Satellite (seeds from a bag not pure blue sat for sure) from two plants so im not really into spending a lot of cash yet only plan on getting four or so seeds of a couple cheap nirvana strains

I love AK-48! I hope to get some more beans one day.
It was one of my first real strains to grow and it was very easy to take care of. Heavy yeilder too!

I'll never buy fem seeds, I know how to clone and I'm not afraid to cut a bitch up. Besides I like to play with genetics and I don't feel like chancing it breeding feminized plants I hope I don't have to explain why I don't remember all of it, too much potago. Oh and I like the Indica's because I have insomnia but I also have depression so the occasional sativa is very welcomed especially cause I'm the dozy type when I get stoned, (on account that I don't sleep well or often) and passing out in front of all your friends that just smoked also can be a little embarrassing

Yeah thanks I did do some reading on it before I came here and I did notice that they didn't say anything about it outdoors, that's why I'm asking if anyone has tossed the bitch out to the cold hard elements a few times.

The aurora Indica they do has a good following as well. Both the AK-48 and Aurora are mostly Indica's so they should be pretty hardy for outoor and should finish in time.

Yeah thats about what I figured but you never know if there is a specific reason they dont recommend it outdoors like a susceptibility to mold or maybe animals like to eat it more than other varieties. I know my blue satellite would make you dizzy if you touched it to much from the odor it put off so it was the only strain I had left at the end of the season, bugs didn't even mess with it.

have you looked at swiss cheese?
early finish, mold resistant.

how is the high from it have you grown it yourself?
