Hey everybody! Boy I'm gettin pretty excited, not just cuz of the holidays:bigjoint: but also my plant is almost ready to harvest :hump: Take a look at my picture(its not very good i know, i took it with my cellphone) the buds on my plant are kinda small, well not as big as some other peoples i have seen on here lol. Can anybody make a guess as to when you think it might be ready to harvest if i want more of an up and energetic high? The hairs look kinda orange in the picture but really about 95% of the hairs are white. I'm thinkin about another 2 weeks maybe...I planted on september 30th so it's been like 10 weeks but i put this little guy through hell so I'm not really sure how that affected it's growth. Lol man I'm so high I keep on gettin off track:eyesmoke: anyways what i got on here originally to ask is does any one know if there is anything i can do this late in the game to try and fatten up those buds?

you cant just come up with a more energetic high by harvesting at a certain time...those things are all in genetics...

as for when to harvest...when did you switch to flower?...planting on sept. 30th isnt enough info...

first time growing isnt it?

Haha is it that obvious:-P Well i started to flower, i think, on Nov. 4 but like i said i stressed the shit out of this plant so i wasn't sure if maybe it slowed down its growth or something, thats why im tryin to do decide by looks, not by time but for a first time grower it's pretty much impossible. So your sure time of harvest doesn't affect the type of high you get? I thought i heard that from a reliable source :cuss: lol o well...

I 've read a lot about harvesting by the color of the trichomes and how tricmone clor determines the HIGH. I use that method, and a 10X Radio Shack lighted $10 microscope.

of couse someone that likes to argue, will argue with this post. I harvest different color trichs at different times AND I get a differnet high for sure. The buds that had clear to cloudy trichomes, I smoke on Saturday mornings and I still do my chores. The brown or amber trichs give me a "tied to the sofa" high.

i believe that to be partially true. harvesting when the hairs are still white and premature gives you in a sense, a "cleaner" or more "pure" high than you would when smoking mature when other chemicals have had time to become prominent therefore influencing the high but as far as genetics, no you cant change the actual high or stoned you get from just the "purity" of it. kinda like gettin head from a girl when shes sober and when shes drunk... might be a little better sober but still the SAME head. :blsmoke:

im gonna have to disagree with you there...im in love with that sloppy drunk dome

but to the original question...think 8-10 weeks from Nov. 4th...earliest i'd pull that gal is christmas day and depending on the stain...you could be waiting up until around Jan 6th

I just read someone say something about adding molasses to the water to fatten up buds. Has anybody ever done that and if so, how did it work for you?

here man my friend sent this to me a while ago he said it works good as hell but i unno i never tried it but plan on doing so

i got some shit for free that u add for the last 3-4 waterings,it added mass, and i didnt use molasses bc the free sample is loaded with micro nutes, vitamins ect. it didnt seem to change the taste of the bud but it sure did smell like ass when i mixed it.

its prob cheaper at ur local hydro store, heres what it is...

Gravity Flower Hardener

Increases the size and mass of flowers. Humboldt County's Own Gravity includes kelp extract for complete flower development in the final bloom stage. A local favorite, it wasn't long before the buzz began to spread far and wide about what this product could really do. First, other hydroponic shops around Humboldt County began to sell it. Then, one by one, other shops around San Francisco began asking for it. Now, national distributors have taken Gravity coast to coast.

Directions for Use:
Apply alone or with regular nutrients. Plants should be healthy and not stressed at the time of application. Nutrient concentration should be reduced by 1/3 when applying this product. If plants are grown under HPS lighting, lights should be raised 6-12 inches.

Soil: Use 1 teaspoon per gallon of water and apply for 2 consecutive waterings beginning about 3 weeks before the end of flowering. Or use 2 teaspoons per gallon of water and apply only once.

Hydroponics: Use approximately 1 teaspoon per gallon of water and run for 5-12 days beginning about 3 weeks before finish. Due to great variability among hydroponic systems, a good rule of thumb is to run larger doses for a shorter time and smaller doses for a longer time.

Do not overuse! More is not better.

Contains non-plant food ingredients:
0.75% Ascophyllum nodosum (sea kelp) extract
0.01% Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride)

try it,its multi fuctional for hydro and soil

go get yourself a good flower finisher, like Humboldt Counties own Gravity. something like that will help your buds finish out and try n reach the full potential that theyre able to under your green thumb. I would say in a week, do your final flush, and then another two weeks from there, you could probably get away with harvesting. But like i said, get yourself a good flower finisher, and use it for about two weeks, and then the last week before harvest, feed water only (or whatever the directions tell you on the finisher), n then chop. your plant is lookin nice too, btw man. :D

There you go. BUt make sure you follow the directions if your gonna use G. Its really easy to burn your plants when you use this finisher and the other additive by humboldt called Purple Maxx. Im using both for the end cycle of my plants, and so far the P Maxx is working great. The gravity should work well too, but just like me, you need to make sure you raise your lights anywhere from 6-12 inches higher than they are right now once you apply this stuff. Its good stuff but it will make your plants more susceptible to burn, wether it be nutrient or heat. Good luck man :D
