Look good for 4 days old? First Grow

Here are my latest seedlings. About twelve days since the seed was sowed.

The thin leaved one is Nirvana Blackjack. The other is Nirvana Northern Light. You can sure tell the difference, even this young. These were taken after watering, which is why the soil looks really wet. I'm going to transplant these in about one more week to bigger pots.

Looks good for about 12 days old.. Mine aren't half that size, and are on day 17 since germ'd seeds were sowed. I don't get it.. It must be the soil i'm using or something...

Those don't look very good. The cotyledon leaves, which are the ugly first two, are turning yellow way too soon. Something is wrong with your setup. You might have to bite the bullet and put them in bigger pots, maybe double them up, two to a pot. Also remember don't overwater. If the soil is constantly soggy, it isn't getting enough air for the root system to build itself.

It could be the soil itself i used. It was some generic cheap crap from wally-mart. Has a lot of sticks, bark, chunks of dirt.. Just an unsatisfactory medium that i snached up.. No "good" soils are available to me in my immediate area. There is plent of the MG soils though...

I doubt it's the soil itself but a lack of nutrients in the soil or too much nutrients... one or the other. What did the bag say it contained as far as nutrients?

Didn't say much as for nuterients. Just said it had proportional mixes of bark, perlite, peat, and soil. Lack of air in the soil, is evident with this soil, because when it starts drying out, it shrinks a lot. Other soils don't do it as much as the crap i'm using now.

You can flower any time you want.

Idk what your setup is like, depends how much room and lights you got.

Update: Day 28

Firstly, here are a couple of pics from day 19 when they were really sick...

It turns out that they were severely shocked from being transplanted from soil to DWC and caught a bad case of root rot and took about 2 weeks of hardly any growth. I got all the problems worked out and they decided to come back to life.

As you can see they are quite small for Day 28 since they took a 2 week vacation from growing while they were in shock but all is well now. Still no signs of sex though. I will probably end up going 12/12 in a week or so.

How do they look?

Other than some light nute bur on the tips from the past they look really good. I just FIMed my bj last night and I must say it looks about on par with your bubblelicious. I'll be updating my grow later today or tomorrow and I'll put it in my sig. I also have bubblicious fem (not auto) on the way so I'm glad I could see yours!

Ps I just found your journal today and I'm going to + rep you for the excellent soil to dwc transplant. Great job!

Cool man, make sure you jump back in here and link your signature because older posts won't have your signature, only your new ones. I really want to see your bubblelicious.

I also have 2 fem bubblelicious non autos in soil.

Oh yeah most deff my bubblelicious isn't here yet. But I'll be raising 2 or 3 and I'll journal them from seedling as you have. I hope it to be glorious!

Can't wait to see yours flower. Just one question. How tall is it? My blackjack (a short strain) is 4 inches tall after I FIMed it. Just wanting to compare since it's about the same age as your bubblelicous.

By the way that's the same temp gauge I have. How is your treating you? I don't like mine much.

The one I topped is 5 inches tall after I topped it, but I only took off about 1/4 inch from topping. And my temp guage is flawless, no complaints.

I'm planning on changing lights to 12/12 on August 29th.
