long time dirt running first hydro system

Hey all this is Tomb, and I'm a long time dirt grower, 10 + years... I was tinkering with the idea of doing a hydro set up for commercial and keeping the dirt for head and close friends... after trolling this board for almost a year I decided to do RDWUC 4 Bucket system by CC.... May have been a little pricey, but money didn't really matter to me...the ease of set up and no leaks right off the bat were important to me... and the ease to expand the system was a plus...
I'm in my second week of flower in that system with a strain that my group has exclusively because of our breeding that we do...she is a producer in dirt so I just had to see what she does in hydro.... so far I'm an really happy on how she is doing... like I said 4 Bucket xl system with an 5th bucket epi-center, chiller and a 55 Gallon Res.... under 1000MH using current culture nuits and feeding schedule...
My dirt grow is all organic just add RO water and then feed with teas every other week...
But now since I have been trolling for so long I feel it is my time to contribute... I won't bs someone when I say something... I will give advice on stuff by my own trials and errors...but I will be asking questions in hydro since these grows I'm a newbie....

I've done that. You have what need, especially the root teas. Root rot is the only big problem for Hyrdo.

Good luck with it. Tell me when you switch to top drip and roots in coco coir and hydroton. Still organic hydroponics, but easier on the roots.

That's what I did, after a a couple of years with rdwc.

Right now I'm using grow stone... it is made out of recycled glass and is ph neutral...

As far as root issues from my studying I've done this is still feeling with water temp..I have my chiller set at 66 degrees and when I did a total water change from veg to flower, my nut and water mixture was clear like water... current culture nuts are not like house and garden line... plus running their root nut is keeping my roots crispy white in color..

Well, what I found, because I am in a small bathroom was the airstones on the big piston pump add heat that I must remove.

To me it is three things combined. Root tea, saturated O2 water, and water temps below 69F.

To do all that put me in the $0.34 per KwH. Too much to justify for personal use.
