Long Roots or Bushy Roots?

Bushy roots. You want maximum surface area which would be as many tiny tiny roots as possible.

Cool, thx. Also, do roots do fine under water or do you lower the water in your res to allow more room? Pretty newb question I know but this IS my first time in hydro.

Here are some pics of my roots, plants are about a week apart:

Your roots looks great.

You're running DWC, so they're likely to grow out into the water.... this prevents the growth of the fine (fuzzy) roots that you'd you see in true high-pressure aeroponics -- and sometimes when cloning in domes.

Roots only feed from the very tips, so the more lateral growth, the better.

From the tips of the root hairs...which are located all over the roots.

correct the tips are not only at the very end of the roots, look closely and ull see all down the string of roots there are many little tips that branch off. they breath and drink from all of these.
