Lollipoping

Im going to veg my plants for 3-4 weeks before i put them in flower.
SHould i still lollipop them? I know people do it for SOG but would it be beneficial for me to lollipop them as well?

well it all depends on the type of plant...sativa..or indica and the lights used and the amount of plant numbers..id i had a lot of plants in a 2 by 4 area...say 33 small ones..yea i would veg to 8 inchs...clear off the bottom 1/3 of each plant and then flower.....but say if i onlly had 3 to 4 plants...you would still lollipope these as well just has a differnt size... say grow them huge in a 7 gallon pot...... when the plant reaches 22 inchs then set them to flower and clear out the bottom 1/3 of the plant.... what lollipopping does it makes the plant grow one main top colla..instead of ome big plant with a lot of loose bud thats not worth anything.... hope this helpps///

Also, yeah this sounds like something that works best on sativas, but hey, I just found out a minute ago what lollypoping is...:bigjoint:

The main reasonfor lolli poping is to take of any brance's at the bottom this force's more feed to the top because in more growrooms than not no light can penatrate the bottom of the plant i always do it and i always havr nise healthy plants.

The one on the right I took close to 1/2 of the foliage off cause it was still in veg getting ready to go into flower. The one of the left I only took about a third (little less) because that one I lollipopped first week into flower. Lollipopping focuses the sugars and bud production to the main cola and other top buds so it dont waste energy on the "popcorn" buds you would use for cooking, hash etc.. Being my first grow I only did a couple, wanted to try a few different things out (and wanted a decent amount of hash:fire:)

Here is an example from my current grow, I let them get a little too big before I lollipopped. This grow was was a real logistical nightmare, but you can see the single cola that results.

why don't you try the screen of green method? Im planning on doing that once i get enough money for a small grow closet, but for now i grow outdoor =D

I find SOG makes better use of my space..but my grows just keep getting bigger and bigger...also a note have tried lolly pop on small clones 8" and didnt veg long enough at each leave were 2 pre sex sacs and one where the branch should have grown after 2 weeks of wasted time some of the sacs split and grew small bud leaves and started to grow buds however my clone stock is getting aged and will be starting new mothers from seed soon haven't given up one the idea if growing 32-64 single colas instead of 16 larger plants will try again with fresh genetics and start new thread covering weird growth I talked about before....from seed I'm sure this system is much more effective from clone I'm gonna say try SOG IMO

Really thinkin of lollipoppin a few on my next grow. Figure if I throw in 8 like that (I will be trying to grow 2 diff strains, dont know what yet, still got a couple months), and grow about 12-20 more like I did these, I will have my mind made up @ the end!

the trick is you do sog and lollipop..soo you just have budcicles... and Urban Grower is the shit...THat is where i Learned most of the knowledge that i have aquried,,
