LOL, main cola growing out the side of the stem...... WTF

You guys know how plants grow, with a stem, various side nodes, fan leaves on the side, then main Cola on top in the center?

Yeah..... umh ok, well my seedling decided it was going to grow that main cola on the side. At first I had no idea what was going on till I realized where the main cola should be, was just a fan leaf, and the main cola was on the side.

I'm not too concerned as I wanted to LST this thing anyway, and will probably turn into some super mutant freak plant, but has anyone else seen weird growth like this without any type of advanced training from the grower?

interesting i would keep it going she be fine the new growt will hunt out the light and stsrt to head up towards it as long as the main light is up it will go up.

side lighting will make the growth head side ways

At the moment I'm not too worried about it, as I'm sure it will grow just fine. But this picture was taken AFTER I had bent it just a little bit to allow the light to get in there. I should have taken a picture before I started the mild training.

Check your Ph's. Deformed fresh growth is often from the Ph being slightly off.

I assume you mean the pH of the soil? I need to get a pH meter for soil one day.

Just an update. With the light training, the fan leaf that was growing like it was a main cola is starting to point down while the main cola is starting to grow like a main cola. It is VERY bush too.

I'll be transferring these into grow bags, at which point I'll water then start my training shortly after.
