I did some research on JSTOR and several other academic sites and I came up with very VERY little, just a small article from 1912 in the Botanical Gazette. From what that said it was positive in it's effects but thats a little old for me to trust, just a LITTLE old lol. Try it, worse comes to worse it will break down into it's protein components and be absorbed by the plants that way, and that can't hurt.
