Loft Grow

My Friend has started a loft grow and he is a bit stuck on how much lights/watts to use the dimensions are 10ft across the floor, 5ft deep and 7ft tall in a triangle loft space...he has 20 nicely vegged seedlings if any one could reccomend how many lights/watts he needs it would be appreciated.... Thanks

Has "he" taken into account how many watts are safe before the police start looking into his heat signature further?

when you say 5ft deep and 7ft tall, in terms or geometry, tall and deep mean the say thing.

i have just set up a loft grow in my new house , my dimensions are the same - im thinking deep in your room size is the width, and you have used white pvc to make like a teepee"" shaped tent using the roof beams ? am i right ? mine is around the same size altho i have 3 in the 1 simaler to yours i use a 600w and a 250w hps. i have 35 plants under these lights , hope this helps.....

i wouldnt listen to too much properganda on that situation my mate.....i have 3000w in my loft in 3 seperate tents, the last uk loft bust by the police using thermal heating equipment from the chopper was a 12000w grow, and also if you grew in a loft you would also be aware that we have our lights on in the daytime when it is almost impossible to detect, irealise your trying to help tho , peace!

yes sorry deep = width...he was thinking 2 x 600w hps and as regards to the white pvc teepee,u are spot on thanks

do yoy think 2 x 600 is to much and withe helicopter business how risky really is it???

yeah 2 x 600 would be fine , he would need to exhausts and 1 intake minimum i use my vegg room exhaust to warm up the flower room when lights are off , this is good advice for a loft grow , heaters are exspensive and dangerous in a loft vegg room lights are on 24hrs or at least 18 so use the heat , i have been loft growing for 5 years , need any more info feel free to ask =D

My point is paying caution to the winds. Are you aware of the attempted raid on a house because the copter picked up a hamster heater in the garage, was about a month ago. Not everyone knows to tell the cops to fuck off if they don't have a warrant, they can easily sound persuasive. I am fully aware of what they can actually detect, which is in reality a lot, but i am also aware of the legal walkabout that must be fulfilled before a warrant is possible.

i wasnt aware of the hamster situation lol no , and i was not barking at ya , just ive loft grown for so long now , i really believe lights on in the day is the key..... (anything over 1500w)....plus u sleep better at night , i also have an air con unit in my loft thats shoots ducting to a fan in each room, i have conviently 1 of these ducting pipes running through each flower tent =D
