Of COURSE they were driven by greed. Like any other investment you can think of ... who invests to attain a loss?
Again, a principle that most liberals fail to recognize is that greed, positively focused, is a GOOD thing. Its human nature and its what drives the economy. Now then, when greed is focused negatively, we have cops, courts and jails to take care of it. Remove ego from the human equasion and you will find yourselves back in the Dark Ages.

Thats kinda like saying pain is a good thing because it lets us know something is wrong, untill it becomes un-bearable, then it sucks! Like greed and ego suck!
What happened to share the wealth? And what happens when the Cops and the judges are fueled by greed? Then you have the current system! Removing ego is what attaining spirituality is all about. Once the ego is totally removed, you enter into the spirit world. That is why we have to keep coming back, to master the ego. I'm sure I've got a few more trips to make, but some of us will be coming back for a long time as their egos are as large as elephants ears, recognize anyone here? For all that man has achieved with his ego, can he make one living thing by himself? Can he create life? and I'm not talking about procreation, (fucking)! Any way that takes two! You might take the credit for growing the killer weed plant, but you didn't create it!

Yes, and I couldn't agree with you more on this point. The problem is, Med, we live in physical world and not the spiritual world. Now, if the billions of people in the physical world would all at once attain spiritual enlightment, then we would have your Heaven (Utopia) on earth. That's not about to happen anytime soon, so we have to live with what we've got.

That's why every police department has an Internal Affairs Division. For the judges ... we have the Justice Department and the FBI.

What? Don't forget I am a retired Truck driver and that is common language to me, no fancy smancy correct english if I can sum it up better with an expletive! And there's the difference in us. You believe in the system and I believe the system is corrupted. If you want a rational look into the system, watch "The Wire" on HBO, the award winning "fictional" account of life in Baltimore, from the top down to the streets. I believe it's more truth than fiction, you might Have a different opinion! Of course the names are changed to protect the guilty!

The drivers would meet in the mornings before work and in the afternoons after work in the drivers trailer, and the conversations would ensue, a lot of fucks shits assholes and motherfuckers would rise to the top of the conversations, especially when discussing management, and real estate salesmen. Do you understand that! I'm sure you had to kiss everyones ass you dealt with so your language had to be tempered. If you want to hear an unfettered basic no nonsense conversation, tune in to a bunch of truckdrivers having a bullshit fest! So unless they want to kick me off this site for language usage, be prepared for a little spice in my posts. Just use your mind to tune them out, like for fuck, you could insert a word to your liking, like profit, as in "profit you"!

I'll not play your game. Do you suppose that my language here is disrespectful to me, I don't! It might be disrespectful to you, but basically thats the way I intended it. BTW truck driving has always been seen as a "manly" job, you should see the women drivers we had. I wouldn't have wanted to fuck with them, and yeah they could cuss with the best of us! BTW I have a 2 year college degree in business mgt. which I never used as I found managers to be nothing but assholes. You had to kiss ass on the top and beat ass on the bottom. that was a managers job. Not for me! When I owned my own business, I treated my employees as I would wanted to have been treated, and they worked hard for me!

I just feel that in this venue it takes away from your credibility. You and I agree on a lot of things ... your treatment of your employees for example. I was a sales manager for quite a few years ... and always had the very best crews in the company. They knew that I would never ask them to do anything that I wouldn't do myself. They worked their asses off for me ... and I for them. As a result, together we set company sales records, that even now ... 40 years later, still stand.

I guess I use the "foul" language a little excessively. I can be quite eloquent with my verbage if I so desire, you know 2 years of vocabulary in college english I and II. Do you know what a voracious termagant shrew is? My ex-wife! lol, actually she was a nice lady, but I never forgot that description from college english! Yes, My mind is starting to let me down in the short term memory area,(geeze I wonder why, 30+ years of pot smokin) but I get a shot of clarity every once in a while! Looks like we lost the pot iniciatives, but gained the House, and maybe split the senate or, God willing, even got 51. We won't know that untill late Dec.
