I saw where the Swifties caused an earthquake. I'm sure the two of them combined are cause some economic quakes this summer. Lots of folks paying lots to go see those shows.

Wife won the standard ticket 'lottery' and we got tix at a reasonable price. Would never buy resale tix.

Don't know if this has been posted. I didn't have patience to look through 45 pages.

Little Feat. Rainbow Theatre, London 1977. Waiting for Columbus.

From the About section of the SouthEast Lights website:

In the mid 70's, I got married, bought a house and continued going to school in Pre-Med at U of M. The Columbian Cowboys began taking control about this time and the ER got very busy. Old friends from Sunny Isles didn't get involved but finding onshore transportation became a problem for them. I was supposed to see the surfer at a Jimmy Buffett concert at Gusman but I had to work 2nd shift. He said people responsible for bringing in most of the cannabis for the east coast were at the concert. Guess "You Had To Be There".

He personified the South Florida pirate/smuggler lifestyle and I cried when I heard he died.

Have been doing an exceedingly deep dive into Derek and the Dominos ever since I learned it was written at a motel a couple of blocks away from where I used to live and work. In the late '60s and early '70s, Miami had a reputation as a place to have a good time. :leaf:

Here's some pics I found online from The Thunderbird:

Duane Eric Thunderbird.jpg

Dwayne Berry Thunderbird motel.jpg

Duane Allman Thunderbird.jpg

This one absolutely fucking floored me, I knew pool boys who worked here during this time:

Here is an outstanding forum thread with Bobby Whitlock explaining more than you can ever imagine about Derek and the Dominos:

Now for the actual music. According to Bobby Whitlock, this is one of two bootlegs of Derek and the Dominos with Dwayne Allman playing with them live:
