Little woody grow cab

How efficient is a case like this? I was thinking of using the hydro setup i made and putting it in a cabinet that is exactly like that, except home made of course.

How do you make this box completely oderless?

What fans do you you use for the intake and exhaust? Same fans? Say 120mm Pc fans converted to dc power?(still need to find out how to do this)

Notice the light is fixed at the top of the box, how do you get the seedlings close to the light? Do you stack things under the hydro setup to get them close and slowly lower them over time?

Biggest concern is oder, and how to make sure that its completely taken care of and unnoticeable in my closet.

Thanks

You could build something like that pretty cheap out of plywood..a 4 inch inline fan with carbon filter would take care of smell.....

Could you give me a link to an example of inline fan to purchase? I wanna run a cfl setup, and also could you link me to a place where you get carbon filters?

Thanks.

No, ik i fully intend to build my own, the only problem i have is i cant seem to find these fans that people are using.

I would like 2 120mm fans to controll exhaust, running one mostly and then the other to back it up if it gets to hot.
And an 80 or 120mm for an intake. I dont understand where people get them, and how they wire them. Also where do you find carbon filters for them so they dont smell?

Heres a link to get the fans for cheap...

You can use old phone chargers to wire them. Just try it both ways, only two wires. Also you can find filters all over. Just google if you dont have any hydro stores close by

Don't try it both ways... red to red (or black with white stripes or dashes along it.. look carefully sometimes it's faint) and black to black. Find an ac/dc converter with enough amps to operate all of your fans and google how to wire in parallel if you're not already familiar with the term. This will give full voltage to each fan individually, where as if you wire them in a series the voltage will be shared evenly amongst all the fans and they will operate at lower rpm's.

Lookup "Scythe" brand fans on Newegg referenced in a previous post. Even the most powerful one is relatively silent considering their cfm. I would not, however, recommend using them in conjunction with a carbon filter. PC fans are not designed for back pressure and it will wear them out. Not only that, but unless you have a very thin filter wall, you're not going to get much airflow coming through it. I used homemade filters with them with a relatively thin wall but I was not getting the heat out of the cabinet with them. I had to upgrade to a more practical (though not for such a small box) inline fan.

If I were ever to make a pc growbox though, I would get proper sized case.

This one I've always thought would be good for a hydro setup. Partner it up with a smaller case to veg in and you could get a nice perpetual sog cycle going yielding proper 1/4 ounce a week. More than enough for all but your most dedicated stoners.
