little help with a hydro stadium 3000+

here is what I'm planning on building for my new flower room. it will be a stadium hydro setup. The room is 11 wide and 8 long and 7 tall. The plan is to run the bottom row of plants in an Ebb&gro bucket system and then using the control bucket as a run off return for the other two rows of plants that will be feed with drip system. the run off will be collected in gutters then returned to controler then to res. I plan to run straight hydroton in all buckets.

As far as lights I want to run 3 1000's, 2 hps 1 mh. all in 8" cool tubes with 6" vortex fans 1 at each end of the duct work. I plan to hang the lights @ 3' high and 40" off the fixed wall. Fixed wall you say? one of the stadium sets will be on casters, so i can roll it back a foot to access plants easier.

anyone have any addvice for me? do you see any flaws in this design?
what size pump do i need for about 30 drippers and about 3 feet of vertical lift?
what kind of drippers are best for not cloggingand put out enough water?

And yes this is a double post but it wasn'tgetting any input in the advanced section so i figured this may be better place.

That's going to be a bitch running three cooltubes right next to each other with the associated ducting, fans, etc.

I'd go bare bulb and get a nice large AC - much, much simpler.

I have a good friend who is a HVAC contractor and is going to hook it up for me

do you know if a portable AC the kind with two hoses that go out the window exchanges the air in the room, meaning will smell get out?

Yeah, a touch will get out - I'm contemplating putting a filter on the exhaust hose, depending on if it's necessary.

my thought was to run a 16x30 carbon filter just scrubbing the air that way maybe it wouldn't matter

Yeah, I have two 6x24" Phresh Filters and two ozone generators, so I'm hoping to not have to put my 4" Can Filter on the exhaust of my AC, but we'll see how stinky it gets.

does anyone know what size pump I'll need for 30 drippers?

I found online raidbird 4 gph pressure regulating drippers, figured run them for 15 minutes 4-5x a light cycle. maybe I'd be better off with 2 pumps running at different times so as to not need to power 30 drip heads????

pretty crazy you're building that, i've thought of building a very similar set up for a perpetual garden, the benches will work perfectly for that...

What about 3 hanging lights and single bucket dwc's throughout for a perpetual? you can put the new girls on the benchs so they get plenty of light penetration and move down as necessary?

Anyhow, I love the setup...

I never ran a drip system, sorry I have no input or advice.. but i will be following this thread..

so today was a beautiful rainy nor cal day so..... i built the fixed side of the shelves as per the drawing. looks like I'll fit between 10-12 per shelf upping my plant count a few. I'm starting to get excited now looks like this is going to be a sweet setup.

Still looking for advice on a pump and drippers???

I do not use drippers but i have to raise my drain water 6 feet to drain it. to do just this i have a 600 gph pump that lifts to a 350 gph pump that evacuates the line. So adding drippers on and only being 3 ft tall i could see using at least a 600 but more likely a 1000 gph pump. could be wrong, but i have spent a lot of time trying to get the water to lift so high.

i was looking at either a 680g or 840 or something like that i forget if those are the exact gallons but close

No, i plan on filling it up with clones and veg 'em for about 10-14 days then flip and let rip. producing somewhere in the neighborhood of 45 16-18" tall plants @ 1 to 1.5 oz per plant. i hope to be able to pull 5+ out of here

just did the math @ 1gpw it would be 6.6 lb, @ .75 gpw is 4.95 lbs I think in vert achieving .75 is very doable and i'll be shitin' and grinin' all over the place

had a crazy thought today as i f'ed around building the mobile side of the shelf, What if i were to just put a 6x6 rockwool block on the shelf and just drip top feed them all? I could still collect the run off in gutters and drain to res. Do the roots come out the bottom of those blocks, do they need to be in a tray??
