Even if butane was only effective for extracting THC, which its not, its odd when folks try to extract and isolate non THC compounds, which to 99% of cannabis users is not ideal. Whole plant(smoking bud) and whole plant extracts ftw. From what I hear rosin is better than the rest anyway. If one has to isolate different compounds to whip up a recipe to make an ideal product their bud sucked in the first place, and its not like guys are making 10% CBG or any other non major cannabinoid into a dominant compound in the end product(mainly because the effects are as desirable/medicinal as THC), most people into the isolating end up concentrating terpenes into the end product, which again is because either their product sucked to begin with or their exctraction/purging method is to harsh or not ideal for preserving terps. Many ways to skin a goat, no reason to rag on BHO over Etoh, they both can be used effectively and safely to concentrate a mass majority of compounds from cannabis.
You can drink etoh, yes, but if you drink to much you die. Pretty sure etoh has destroyed more lives than butane. They're tools how we use and wield them is the important part.
