so i just got these 2 lights off a friend. and i wanna get em in my grow room some how, but not sure wuts up wit em??
there 400w (have mh bulbs in em so im guessing MH lamp?)
240V(could that be converted to 120 some how?)
and most of all, idk if the ballast is conected to the fixture,(theres a big white box on top of the socket/reflector, dunno wut it is?) or if i need to buy a whole new ballast.

heres wut it says on it

WATTS 400 LAMP TYPE m59
PRI VOLTS 240 PRI AMPS 2.00
HBF H HERTZ 60

FOR USE WITH
optical assembly/suitable for operation in ambient not exceeding
A162 \ 40 degrees
A23 \ 40 degrees(and about 20 more.. wuts all this mean??

and the power wire has a weird conection at the end, instead of the usual plug in for a ballast its flat and wide, with 4 prongs, 3 able to slide sideways, and G 1 2 3 N imprinted along it. is this for a multi lamp ballast or something??

i searched around google, and didnt find any thing (my computer sucks n wont open the lithonia website)
+ rep for ne ideas?? haha
thanks for the help

I can help you a little bit. That wierd plug is a 220 plug. It's so you can't plug it into the wrong outlet. I know that you can convert these lights to 110, but I don't know how to do it. However, you may want to keep them 220 volts. It's more energy efficient. Wireing up a 220 outlet isn't too hard. I've done it for a dryer before. Google it, or search for it here, i've seen a thread before on how to do it. Good luck
