List of LP's, Prospective LP's

Yup. I'm in London regularly and have heard all about him.
He's trying to charge OHIP for each visit and, to the best of everyone's knowledge, he's not busy, nor will he ever be.

I originally assumed his profit model would be in LP commission, but it's not - it's just OHIP billables.

He just needs to hire the right business manager...

Uh...oddish, are you guessing or do you have confirmation on the OHIP billing issue?

I am not guessing. Hard to say whether the people I heard it from are or not - they're fairly well connected in this world.
He came from the methadone clinic where they were doing that for 200 patients a day - it would stand to reason that's where he got his business model from.

Craven is an interesting doc..spent a year in recovery.
He put it a vault room in this new clinic, said all 187 (or whatever the number was) potential patients have indicated that they want to pick up at his office.
Really? All of them want that inconvenience?...Has nothing to do with the fact that he doesn't charge to sign the document eh...
I know it's Dundas St, but come on now...

I suppose you could have a "clinic" and an "lp" but under different ppl but in the same building, just another work around scam.... if you got your LP approval then the clinic moved in to the empty office space in the same building... I just guessing but seems plausible.

Why don't you think he will be busy.

I gaurantee that if he had opened up in toronto he would be plenty busy.

He may get busy, but I think they'll end up shutting him down or slapping him on the wrist.
It might be too much too early as far as exploiting the loophole. Hard to say how HC would feel on the subject.
He better be damn good at record keeping though - the scrutiny will come eventually.

Just a guess but I assume because he's thinks he can bill OHIP 200 x a week for new patients at $40-60 a pop it's going to happen...NOT. I've read that a doc can't sign for more than 100-200 patients in a year. So, no 'extra' fees, he sinks.

I haven't read any restrictions on how many patients a doctor can sign up in a year.

You guys don't think OHIP would have an issue paying a doctor every month to hand over a patient's jar of pot?

There has been talk of some thresholds that would lead to investigations.
Some of these "approve anyone" doctors will have to be able to backup what they're signing.

That said, might end up that HC doesn't give any f***s and they just want to scare people until legalization takes the problem off their plate.

I think they would. It's not methadone clinic, it's marijuana which they don't really agree with.
I don't see them paying this out for long.

Its the CMA and Colleges , not HC.
HC wants everyone signed up.

OHIP doesn't give a shit if a doctor writes approval documents for free....they will care if you bill them every month to hand over a bottle of pot to every patient.

Correct.. so why do you think he'll succeed?
Or you don't.. you just think he'll be busy in the meantime?
