What stage are you in, vegetative or flowering?

Either way, a simple thirty minute lapse in lights is going to do practically nothing to your plants. Reset your light schedule and continue as normal.
Im 5 wks into veg so thanks for advice, say it had been off a few hrs how would i deal with that.

Same way. In veg any light fluctuation will be ok. I think if your lights were off for about three to four days then you'd have something to worry about...that something being your plant going into flowering, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Basically nothing small can hurt your plant, you'd need to fuck up big to kill your plant or harm it in some way. A few hours of missing/extra light, a little too much nutrients, too much water/too little water, etc, etc all are things that as long as they aren't extreme are not going to hold the progress of your plant at all. There is a reason we call it weed.

It's not gonna hurt the plants, but when you say the lights tripped are you talking about a circuit breaker? If so thats problem unless you mind burning your house down.

Check all your electrical cords and make sure there are no kinks/cuts etc. Might be what's causing it and that's bad.
