Lights...

would 4 of the 23 watt/100watt equivalent CFLs work for pretty much the whole grow? Or do you think more would probly be needed. It's about 6400 lumens.

If it working..this is what you have..Gotta go with what ya got man
Good luck..gotta be something you can cut back on for a bit to get enough doo for a light..Beer..jd..old ladies fingure nails..something

You can grow or VEG with the wrong spectrum, but if you want big sized coke can colas............you need the red spectrum, up close too.

What's up Stoned - I can't believe no one's answered that question, man! Granted, it was a tough one!! I wish I could help man, really... It's even more confusing since you're comparing bulbs w/ different wattages AND different spectrums. Even if they were the same wattage, I don't know if a 41K would put out more blue light than a 27K.... Does it work like that? Anyone? The closer you get to 65k, the more blue spectrum you get? Maybe... Wish I could say for sure. Roseman's right on, bro... You could do you whole grow with the 27K's, but your veg. cycle will suffer. I'd say, unless you can find specific 65K bulbs somewhere (I can't believe you can't... NOWHERE?? What happened at Walmart, bro?), just save your money until you CAN. If you can't order online, and you don't find them soon, use whatever cash you have for more of the 27k's you've got. AS MANY as you can afford, but ONLY if you're sure you can't get the 65's. At least that way, you'll be feeding them more lumens, and you'll be WELL prepared for flowering. The 27k's put out blue light, just like the 65k's put out red light; they just put out much more of the specific spectrum that they're named for. And I think most would agree, it's much more important to be well prepared for flowering, if you're FORCED to choose. Those 41k's? What's the point? They're not the BEST for EITHER cycle! Forget 'em. Good luck man! Let me know what happens, and what you decide to do. PEACE!:peace:

I have seen a dual spectrum CFL bulb for sale which is half 6500 and half 2700:

Can I use this bulb in flowering or should I concentrate on 2700 only?
