hi i have a 4x4 tent with 4 autopots and 600w lamp. i was hoping for advice on the best way to heat tent in lights out periods . im in the uk
 
Prolly use a oil type heater. One with coils will bring light in the tent. And it's safer to leave on all the time.
 
If you are indoor I don't think you will need it but idk depends on where exactly you live in the UK, I'm from Birmingham.
 
best way is to have your lights on in the evening through the morning if the heat is down when sleeping and getting no sunshine to warm the building. since I hate paying for heat all of my veggies get their extended lighting at night when the house is under 60f. (mid to high 50s normally.) This keeps them at a better growing temp even though I am only using Flouros and LEDs.

if your growing indoors try to have your lights out period around the time you have your heating on, and also during the day to make it easier to keep things warm

Just interested as to why you think it "looks suspect",and dnt give an explanation.
The cover is optional,and as it would be used only at night,not really a problem.
 
coleman lantern so it fills the tent with co2 for the next day.?

Dont burn the place down or vent it.

Just a thought

I dont know maybe the flame would wake the plants

Hey bro, I'm across the pond in Ireland so have to deal with cold lights off temps also. I've found the best solution is a small fan heater with a thermostat so the heater knocks itself off at a certain temp

I use this one from Argos and it works perfect, on the lowest setting it shuts off about 21c

Lol. For starters it said something like 55w or something. It looks like a fish tank heater. In other words it looks like a piece of shit that won't heat anything. Just my opinion I have never used one. Does it even have a btu rating? This is what I was thinking.

With the greatest of respect Widow,that leviathon you suggested has got to weigh about 50lbs.
No good for my bad back or 3x3 tent.
I think i will stick with my original choice which has good customer reviews,cheap to run,easy to handle
and ideal for my situation.
 
I use oil filled radiator just put it inside the room outside the tent and it will warm up your tent, if u turn it on say 20 minutes before lights out the room should stay roughly same temp bud

Very good! I'm interested in the results. Let's us know if that thing works and I will buy 20 of them to heat my house at 55w a piece. Colorado is too cold for this Texas boy.

Ok Widow.I wont be getting it til later on in the year,but i will keep you posted on how it performs.
Yeah,they would be a cheap form of heating your house,lol.
