Lights on temp - 65f. Lights off temp - 58f. Do I need to get a space heater?

My room has no heat source, so these are the temps that I have been dealing with when it's cold outside. I know it's not exactly ideal, but is it passable? What sort of problems should I be on the lookout for?

Sounds like the perfect excuse to get a higher wattage light to warm that baby up.

I was thinking the same thing, but I end up having the reverse problem in the summertime (too hot). It seems too wasteful to have different winter and summer lights.

It seems more wasteful to lose out on yield because of a weaker light in the winter

Space heater it up, my room is not heated either and I use a space heater to maintain74*low and 86*, high F room a/c in the summer. I control the enviorement! I think the cooler outside air is more dense and considerably dryer but humidity tends toward less than average this has not seemed to be a problem and beneficial to pest control.

space heater !! Get a decent one, the small ones don't work for dick !

Yes Space heater, one with a temp control.

Your day time temp is kind of low too.
It makes me think your humidity might be low also. In which case that might be to much stress for you to get good yields.

Some times just putting a reptile heater can bring both temps and humidity up.. Depending where u live.

I would suggest buying a space heater and a book about the basics of growing, or at least watch some of the videos available in Newbie Central and elsewhere.

If suggesting you put effort into some research and self-education is harsh, then so be it. You're the one asking if 65F is good enough, when all the resources will tell you it is not.

Are you in a finished room? Meaning, do you have access to insulate your walls?

Yes, I've put a lot into insulating the room, but there just isn't any heat source. However, no matter how cold it gets outside, the lights out temp bottoms out at 58f. I'm sure a space heater would have an easy enough time getting it up to where it ought to be. Crap. I guess I have to do this...

That's much too low for the plant to grow well. I think it would be a good idea to consider a higher wattage light and ventilation option to controll the temps. And if you used a larger light in wintertime you could grow enough bud to last through the summer! Wintertime is a blessing for 1000w light setups.

I have the exact same problem in winter. My growroom is in my basement where I have very little heat. I have a space heater and keep it on a timer where it comes on more often during lights out and not so much when the lights are on. I like for it to turn off and on rather than run for long periods of time when I'm not looking at it. I'm a little paranoid about heaters especially when I'm not always looking at it.
