Just another urban myth. Chop when she's ready and you are too. I take the top third and then let the lower buds ripen up for another 10 days or so then take the rest. I like bigger popcorn.

dont harvest in the dark. you could hurt yourself, or worse, hurt another plant. as soon as those trichs are ripe cut it.

The best way is to pull the plants out, roots and all, then hang them upside down outside under a new moon while copulating with a goat to encourage the THC to run down from the roots into the buds. Not sure what part the goat f'ing plays in the whole thing but makes sense to me.
