I know im only a noob myself but humidity control is extremly important.. too high you're buds wont dry properly and u risk mold.. too low and you're growth will be poor .. for the price it costs to get a decent hygro meter.. a humidifier and a dehumidifier its well worth it in the long run.. what strain are you growing?
Random bag seed. and the reason i haven't been paying much attention to it is because my "mentor" who has grown over 30yrs said he's never did anything to controll or even test his humidity

Im sure if he had been growing for 30 yrs he would of controlled his humidity at some point .. unless he was extremly lucky he wouldnt of grown good weed with humidity too high or too low.. any grower will tell u that, plus if you're humidity is too high or too low it probably means you're temps are to.. when you're growing as many plants as im growing and have invested the money ive invested into it, theres no way you would take you're chances just leaving them and seeing how it goes.. imagine youve grown some monster plants under high humidity and you come to you're final weeks and discover mold inside you're buds.. you'd be gutted you didnt spend that bit of extra time and money ensuring you get the enviroment just how cannabis plants like it.. belive me its important

Well I asked him how he controlled his humidity because I've read a lot of people talking about what they're humidity is in their grow room and he told me he never had any issues with it he just kept his fans running and his lights on and he always had pretty. good product. He's been growing a long time and in two different states with different climates. But I will definitely look into that stuff for my next grow I am really just testing the waters on how the plants grow Before I sent extra money into high pressure lights and dehumidifiers and things like that.

Yeah it defo makes sense not to go investing yet.. i admit alot what u read onlinr about perfect temps n that are probably a little far fetched. Ive had guys telling me the flash from my camera will make my plants hermie soo not every rule is set in stone, i just try to stick to it because i dont wanna lose out cause its been hard work alot harder than i anticipated but the knowledge ive gained is priceless

Yeah I spend a couple hours a day reading on the topic of growing and still don't even know a partial of what I should know. But I learn from experience so I guess I will grow with my grow as it grows

I would like to get a nice yield from my plants but honestly I am enjoying the hobby so much it would not bother me that much. Beside the loss of investment.

I will eventually know what I'm doing and eventually be growing some killer ass bud but if I fail the first time it will not be too disheartening

If you check the stalks on par with the nodes on the main stalk there should be 2 little hairs coming out of the side. At the stage there at they should be showing there sex now, just check up n down the main stalk... hopefully all will be female.. chances are you'll at least get 2 of the 4

It's not "just" humidity, there is also a relationship between temp and humidity known as the heat index. When a proper balance between is achieved the plants rage with vigor
no matter the values a grower should adjust for heat index of 4 points above ambient
here is a link to a heat index calculator,,,,

http://www.easysurf.cc/cnver16.htm

as an example, an ambient temp (room temp) of 72 with a RH of 34% will give a heat index of 76.6

You can use the calc to see where you should adjust things

Cheers dude but im not sure it will cut it. I bought an oil filled 600w and it didnt even raise the temp by 1c, the heater i have is pumping out 1200w and still only raising the temps by 7c max... it gets very cold were the rooms sitiuated and its not the smallest of rooms either.. it would help if i didnt have to leave my fans on but i cant risk not having an air flow... im dreading my electric bill haha
-You'd be better off growing autos and keep the lighting on 24/0. You have good reason to dread the next electric bill with that current setup.

-Move the grow space into the living space potion of your home.

-Reduce the grow space area that gets heated.

Ive got a good idea what the electric bills gonna be, altho its a few hundred its minor compared to amount of money ill save not having to buy weed, providing it all goes good of course.. whats the benefits of growing autos?

I don't personally like or grow autos, but it would be a solution to your cool temperatures. Rather than heating with a 1200w heater during lights out, you could use that energy as lighting, which produces heat.

I've seen some impressive auto grows. There was a certain Dutch Passion Think different grow that blew my mind.
