Well, this my plan. I have 2 3 gallon containers in dirt, and two plants per. I'm using plain t12 hung vertically, 80 watt per container. Last time I did this they grew nicely, regular bag seeds, but budding was lame.
I have more height than width available. I'm thinking of a 400 HPS when I go to 12/12, after they get a foot or so high. How much heat is that HPS going to throw off? Any thoughts?

How bigs your grow room? ?If your using an actual room, that 400 wont make too much difference, however, if your growin in a closet, your probably going to want some ventilation. Youd probably want some anyways, its better for the plants.

Unless you got a real good, solid ventilation system, yes, it will be. I have a friend who, when he was 16 and still living at home, once grew 1 Northern Lights plant in the basement of his house. He surrounded it with countless air fresheners and ONA (odour neutralizing agent) containers, and you could still smell it when you walked into the house:lol: What you need to do is seal off your grow room, and then pump all your air out with some form of exhaust system, through a carbon scrubber. Ive heard they work brilliantly, im currently working on building one myself. Heres the link to the thread.
