I can only seem to find 15 amp timers or the extreme... Any advice? I have four lights per room and two 20 amp outlets already installed. putting in 4 timers is possible but difficult they way the room and outlets are setup...

i use these timers, one for 2 lights each timer rated to 3840w at 240 volts max.
if it can handle a 3000 watt imersion heater it will handle 2 x 1000w lamps no sweat.
i have had no problems although i run 2 x 600w lamps with each of them, and i have never felt any heat to the touch from them.
they are very cheap and easy to wire up. £11.46 gbp = £19.10 usd

Are your circuits set up as 220-240V? If not, you really don't want to run multiple 1000s on a single circuit.

There is a nice post on the site somewhere about setting up a relay system to use a low-power timer in order to trigger multiple lights which could be another option for you.

I am confused are you saying you are going to be running 2 1000w lights only. Why then 4 timers.
If you have 4 1000w lights then I would not advise running 2 on one circuit, just too much chance of problems.

I have 2 1000w lights going but on different 20 amp circuits with trip fault outlets.
2 1000w lights cover a large area especially in the start of a grow.
In later parts of growth, if you have room look at at rotating light system to optimize both lights.

As for the timer I have some heavy duty ones but I can't remember the name, when I go check on my plants I will look at the name brand.
They were only like 15 to 20 dollars at my local hardware store.

I could be barking up the wrong tree but could I not connect one these to each outlet and would that not solve my issue?

EDIT: sorry just saw that it was just a shut off switch not an actual timer

i used the walmart 110 volt timers to run two 1000wtt. with 220 volts lights.. worked just fine. now i bought a hot water timer running the two 1000wtt lights.. the timers are only $25 bucks at a hardware store..

I would buy a cap 4 light controller with external trigger line. $120 for the box, and you can use any old timer. Clean, easy, and won't fry timers like pulling amps through them. As mentioned earlier, you can build one for prob $60, but I got the cap unit brand new to my door for less than $120

Ended up ordering a Titan Controls Helios 2 from my ,kind of, local hydro store for $126. Didn't want to put in an other breaker but was easier than I thought it would be....damn lazy ass stoners never want to do anything that have the words "extra work" in it....
