lighting setup

I am working on my second grow. My first was 3 years ago using and nft system I purchased online that came complete with everthing. That grow taught me a few things. So on my next grow I want to resolve a few issues. One is lighting. I have 400 mh and hps bulbs and balast with a batwing reflector. I grow in closet space like 2.5 x 5 x 7. I am convinced that heat will be an issue again. So I was thinking of going with a lower wattage bulb setup. Maybe 150 hps. Or I was gonna get a cool tube reflector to suck some of that damn heat into the attic. What would be best

For the size of your space I'd say figure out how to cool it. I have a 150, which I laove, but its only in a 2x1.5 space......cool it down and use the big light for your size. JMHO:joint::peace:

temps in mid 90s might be ok for a soil plant with co2 added. but... hydro, your asking for root rot, keeping temp levels below 70 in the rez is absolutely critical.

I run a 400 in a 4x2x7, and with my fan in there, and doors closed it stays around 87. I usually can keep the door opened so I keep it down around 80. But if you don't have the luxury of having the doors open, then figure out how to cool it. Depending upon how many plants you wanna grow in that space, anything less thes might not maximize your yield. IMHO. Just my two pennies.

What kind of cooling setup do you have
