Only thing I would advise anyone making a definite decision on a set schedule would be, the right schedule will also be effected by the specific strain and phenotypical expressions your cut delivers. Every one of these phenotypes have a specific "optimum" of everything. Nutes/intensity of light/duration of day cycle/moisture/c02 ect.first off, thanks for the props.
i have not done a side by side. i have run 18/6 and the reason i went back to 24/0 was it was easier to keep temps constant. my temps dropped too much during the dark so my thought was : run a heater or run the lights all the time.
the only science behind it is that cannabis is a C3 plant which does not require a dark cycle.
if i'm not mistaken, cervantes and some of the other "experts" also recommend it.
What optimum means has a great deal to do with what the grower wants to accomplish, and their style of grow.
Either will work fine generally. But I have seen more issues with people running 24/0 schedules than 18/6 or 16/8 even. Some strains won't take well hormonally to a sudden light stress like that.
If you keep a mom around it would be interesting to see if cuts do better under which schedule. Veg time/ End Yeild, potency over time.
But I'm interested in Grams per Kilowatt hour, and other nerd stuff.
(And I'm super high so if I didn't make sense ignore me)
(Edit: And then I read the last two posts, RIP lol)
